Save Big on Hotel Stays This Spring With IHG PointsBreaks

The latest IHG PointBreaks list is out, giving IHG Rewards Club members a chance to book rooms with points at a deep discount through May 31, 2019. The quarterly program offers award stays for as little as 5,000 points per night. This time around, the list features more than 75 hotels around the world.

PointBreaks has three different levels of reward nights. At the 10,000- and 15,000-point award levels, loyalty program members have the most choices. Here are the highlights from each level.

5,000 IHG Rewards Club points

There are only three hotels still available at this level. If you're looking to travel internationally, two of these hotels are located in the province of Liaoning in China.

10,000 IHG Rewards Club points

Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suites, Hotel Indigo and two InterContinental properties make an appearance in the middle-tier list. International hotels making the list include the Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini in India. For stateside travels, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chalmette - New Orleans S offers easy access to the charm of New Orleans.

15,000 IHG Rewards Club points

At the highest level of the PointBreaks program, loyalty members can book the Hotel Indigo in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, which is situated close to the family-friendly Hershey Park. In a different corner of Pennsylvania, the Hotel Indigo Pittsburgh - Technology Center is just as hip as the city it’s in, with a rooftop bar and yoga deck.

The bottom line

The hotel options are limited, but it’s worth checking out the PointBreaks list if you are an IHG Rewards Club member and you’re already planning a trip to the area. Keep in mind each member is limited to two PointBreaks Rewards Nights reservations per hotel.
