U.S. Bank Hikes a Business Card’s Bonus, Trims 0% APR on Another

U.S. Bank has raised the stakes on one of its business credit cards.
The U.S. Bank Business Cash Rewards World Elite™ MasterCard® now offers the following sign-up bonus: Limited Time Offer: Earn $500 cash back after spending $3,000 in the first 90 days of opening your account. The previous offer was lower but easier to attain, allowing new cardholders to earn $200 in bonus cash after spending $1,000 in eligible purchases within the first 90 days.
Unfortunately, the issuer is also making a negative change to a different business card, slashing the 0% intro APR offer for the U.S. Bank Business Platinum Card. What was once an extra-lengthy introductory period of 20 billing cycles at 0% for purchases and balance transfers has been reduced to a run-of-the-mill offer: Get an intro 0% intro APR for 18 billing cycles on purchases and balance transfers, and then the ongoing APR of 17.24%-26.24% Variable APR.
All other details remain the same on both cards:
U.S. Bank Business Cash Rewards World Elite™ MasterCard®
Annual fee: $0*.
Rewards:
Earn 3% cash back on eligible gas station, office supply store and cell phone/service provider net purchases.
Earn 1% cash back on other eligible net purchases.
APR: 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for the first 12 billing cycles, and then the ongoing APR of 13.99% - 22.99% Variable APR.
Foreign transaction fee:
2% of each foreign purchase transaction or foreign ATM advance transaction in U.S. dollars.
3% of each foreign purchase transaction or foreign ATM advance transaction in a foreign currency.
U.S. Bank Business Platinum Card
Annual fee: $0.
Rewards: None.
APR: 0% intro APR for 18 billing cycles on purchases and balance transfers, and then the ongoing APR of 17.24%-26.24% Variable APR.
Foreign transaction fee: 3%.
Also of note: The U.S. Bank Business Platinum Card is available only to applicants within 26 eligible states.
