Other business credit cards from U.S. Bank

U.S. Bank added this card to its lineup in early 2026. It effectively replaced the U.S. Bank Business Platinum Card. (That card is no longer available.)
The Business Shield offers an extra-long 18-month intro APR period on purchases and balance transfers (then an ongoing APR of 16.24% - 25.24%). But you have to apply in-branch to get that deal. Otherwise, it's 12 months long.
The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card is the better deal in that case.

U.S. Bank business credit card features

Multiple U.S. Bank business credit cards boast extra-long intro APR offers (on purchases only). And some include U.S. Bank's ExtendPay® Plan, which lets you pay for certain purchases over time with a fixed monthly fee rather than interest (terms apply). Have a U.S. Bank personal credit card in your wallet? You also can transfer points between some business and personal Altitude cards.
U.S. Bank also introduced spend management features for its business credit cards in April 2025. This functionality allows for greater tracking of employee spending. However, some options, like custom rule setting, requires an additional paid subscription. That costs $79/month (or $799/annually) as of this writing.

Alternatives to U.S. Bank business credit cards

U.S. Bank has a strong set of business credit cards. But it doesn’t quite offer something for everyone. Consider these cards if U.S. Bank’s options aren’t a fit for you.

For premium travel rewards

The Capital One Venture X Business card delivers travel perks in spades, making it a top-notch alternative to the U.S. Bank Business Altitude® Power Visa Signature® Card. Yes, the annual fee is steeper — $395 vs $195 — but the card’s generous welcome offer makes up for it if you're a big spender: Earn 150,000 bonus miles once you spend $30,000 in the first 3 months from account opening. Even without that bonus, you’ll still get annual travel credits and bonus mile awards. You also get unlimited complimentary airport lounge access at Capital One, Plaza Premium Group and participating Priority Pass lounges. Learn more and apply.
🤓
Nerdy Tip
The annual fee on your business credit card can be tax deductible if you use the card exclusively for business expenses.

For simple cash back

U.S. Bank’s business credit card lineup lacks a straightforward flat-rate cash-back card. If you don’t want to juggle bonus categories or you spend big across more than two areas, the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card is your answer. This card earns an unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases and offers a long intro APR period: 0% intro APR on Purchases for 12 months, and then the ongoing APR of 16.74%-24.74% Variable APR. The Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card has no annual fee and a generous welcome offer that competes with the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card: Earn $750 bonus cash back after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Learn more and apply.

For business owners without excellent credit

Capital on Tap says applicants with a FICO score of 670 or higher have the best chance of approval, but the card is available to business owners with fair credit (typically considered a score from 630 to 689). The Capital on Tap Business Credit Card issued by WebBank offers 1.5% cash back on all purchases, no annual fee and the potential for a low APR. (But you'll need excellent credit to snag that low APR.) One important note: This card is not available to sole proprietors, which excludes most businesses. Learn more and apply.
Bank of America® Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards Mastercard® Secured credit card
The Bank of America® Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards Mastercard® Secured credit card earns 1.5% cash back on all purchases, with no cap or expiration date on the rewards you earn. The card has a minimum security deposit of $1,000, which is equal to your credit limit and subject to credit approval. Bank of America® will periodically review your secured card and may upgrade you to an unsecured card if and when you qualify. This card has no annual fee. Read our full review.

Methodology

NerdWallet's writers and editors monitor more than 70 business credit cards to select the best options without outside input from partners or other business interests. We evaluate business cards based on value and simplicity, weighing fees, sign-up bonuses and reward rates, alongside perks like interest-free periods, statement credits and elite status (for travel cards).
We consider more than 20 data points for each card we score, including detailed information about rewards, credits and fees. We gather this information from rates and fees documents, deposit account agreements, financial institution websites and company representatives.
Our editorial team regularly reviews and updates our data to ensure consistency and accuracy. We also update our scoring on an ongoing basis to reflect changing industry norms and business owner needs. For instance, in 2026, we added a small deduction for cards that don’t allow users to issue virtual cards and removed the small increase for cards with no preset spending limit.
Final star ratings range from one to five stars. A five-star score represents the best available product for the largest number of business owners. Learn how NerdWallet rates small-business credit cards.
