While many of us may be spending our free time this month finalizing March Madness brackets or enjoying the first hints of spring weather, don’t let financial education fall by the wayside. There are numerous opportunities for all ages and demographics to learn more about managing their personal finances. Read on for some great events coming up this month!

Financial Education Day

Westchester Community College (Valhalla, NY)

At the second annual Financial Education Day hosted by Westchester Community College, participants will be able to attend a variety of workshops on topics such as retirement planning, money management, and building economic security. In addition, former CNN and Fox news anchor Kiran Chetry will be the event’s keynote speaker. The free event takes place on Saturday, March 23 from 8:30am to 1:00pm.

Financial Literacy Boot Camp Workshop for Parents

Family Centered Educational Agency, Inc. (Chicago, IL)

Coming up at the beginning of next month, on April 6th from 11:00am to 1:00pm, The FCEA will host a free financial literacy workshop specifically designed for parents within the community they serve.  The program will help the agency to achieve their mission, to “provide education to families through holistic community/economic development, and direct human services.” Learn more about the event and how to register here.

Financial Literacy Workshop

Missouri Career Centers (St. Louis, MO)

This workshop will work to teach participants skills in a variety of areas, including financial planning, budgeting, money management, insurance, taxes and many more. The workshop will take place in three different sessions and locations, on March 13, March 20, and March 27. Learn more here.

Discover Your Unique Financial Personality

Women’s Business Center Organization, York College of Pennsylvania (Grantley, PA)

On March 12, Carolyn Schaefer, Managing Director of Personal Banking at York Traditions Bank and Holly Buchanan, author and national financial consultant will present on financial personalities among women.
