The California Community college system is the largest in the United States.  Attending a school in the system has been a sound economic decision towards a solid education for many.  While the fees for Community Colleges are considerably more affordable than other systems, some financial aid definitely helps many achieve their goals of higher education.  So, we’ve decided to take a look at the average financial aid per student enrolled over the course of three years to find out which schools give the most Financial Aid.  We gathered our data from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office’s Datamart.  With over 100 schools, here are the top ten for California Community Colleges:

Community College Average Financial Aid per Enrolled Student
Antelope Valley College $2,111.05
Imperial Valley College $1,894.39
Porterville College $1,731.68
Copper Mountain College $1,712.66
San Joaquin Delta College $1,710.28
Victor Valley College $1,702.15

Congratulations to all of these schools and their financial aid offices for helping students obtain the aid that they need.  Many California Community College Financial Aid programs are facing many of the same issues as they try to provide funding to their students.  We believe that through sharing sharing methods, techniques and programs that the Financial Aid community can tackle these problems together.  Thus, we’ve asked the above community colleges to share the highlights of their programs–which their school names should link to.  However, it’s not all in the numbers–we’ve also asked upcoming programs like Santiago Canyon College and Fullerton College that have established innovative programs to share their successes as well.  Please feel free to comment or write to us if you feel your school’s Financial Aid program has unique or innovative offerings!
