The United℠ Business Card is a useful small-business credit card for reaping perks on United Airlines and racking up miles to redeem for free flights. It offers 2 MileagePlus miles per dollar spent on purchases from United; 2 miles per dollar spent at restaurants, gas stations and office supply stores; and 1 mile per dollar spent on everything else.
There's also a sign-up bonus: 100,000 bonus miles after $10,000 in purchases in the first three months from account opening. Miles can be used on any United flight, as well as flights on any of the other Star Alliance airlines.
Perks for cardholders include a free checked bag for you and a traveling companion, priority boarding and two free United Club passes per year. Free checked bags could save you up to $120 per round trip, making up for the card's annual fee of $99.
If you don’t need a business credit card, the personal version of the card, the United℠ Explorer Card, is also a good one with a few added perks. If you spread your flying beyond just United, a general travel business credit card might suit you best.
