Las Vegas is full of amazing hotels — and one particular property has a full, Venice-style canal running through it (complete with gondola rides). That's The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, and — as of January 2025 — World of Hyatt members can earn and redeem points at the iconic Las Vegas Strip hotel.
The news is big for Hyatt, which lost a bunch of huge properties in its portfolio when MGM Resorts— which previously partnered with World of Hyatt and is famously behind resorts like the Bellagio Las Vegas — announced its switch to the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program in July 2023.
Now, there's one again a Las Vegas Strip resort you can book using World of Hyatt points. The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is actually comprised of two hotels, The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort and The Venetian.
This new partnership brings a top-tier property to the World of Hyatt portfolio, offering a luxury option right on the Las Vegas Strip. And that's not the only hotel in the World of Hyatt program that you can book in Vegas. Just off the Strip there's the Rio Hotel & Casino. And if you want to get away from the Strip entirely (and save a lot of money in doing so), there are two Hyatt Place properties — one on Paradise Road and another at Silverton Village.
Here's your guide to earning and spending Hyatt points in Las Vegas.

From its sprawling casino floor to its iconic gondola rides and luxurious pools, The Venetian is one of Las Vegas's most famous resorts.
It also hosts a bunch of celebrity chef-affiliated restaurants, including Bouchon by Michelin-star chef Thomas Keller, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Wakuda from two-Michelin-starred chef Tetsuya Wakuda and Buddy V’s Ristorante by chef Buddy Valastro.
Its pool deck spans two acres and includes 11 different pools, plus cabanas and daybeds.

Located slightly off the Las Vegas Strip, the Rio Hotel & Casino offers a more budget-friendly option while still delivering big Vegas energy. Key amenities include a massive pool complex, a casino, plus unique entertainment options like the Penn & Teller magic show and the Chippendales male revue.
Since joining the Destination by Hyatt brand, it underwent a big renovation that included 1,500 newly remodeled suites in the Ipanema Tower, a new 3-acre pool paradise and a revitalized casino floor with 40 table games and 800 slot machines.
It also got some big dining upgrades, including the additions of Canteen Food Hall, Lapa Lounge and Luckley Tavern & Grill.
And there's still more to come. In fall 2025, acclaimed chef James Trees will open a rooftop steakhouse with 180-degree indoor and outdoor views called High Steaks Vegas. Expect high-end ingredients including game meats, market-driven fish and vegetables.
For those who prefer a non-casino hotel near the Strip, the Hyatt Place Las Vegas is an excellent choice. As a Category 3 property, members can book a redemption night starting at 9,000 points. The hotel also includes free breakfast, making it a convenient and affordable option.

If you want to experience the lively Silverton Village, consider the Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village. Like its counterpart on Paradise Road, this Category 3 hotel starts at 9,000 points per night and offers a comfortable stay with free breakfast.
How to earn World of Hyatt points quickly
World of Hyatt points are easier to earn than you might think, and you don’t even have to stay in a hotel to boost your balance. Here are some of the best ways to earn points for your next Las Vegas trip:
Browse the partnerships: World of Hyatt partnerships allow for points earning. The partnership with American Airlines is particularly intriguing if you hold elite status in AAdvantage and World of Hyatt. After linking your accounts, you can take advantage of reciprocal elite status and earn one World of Hyatt point for every dollar spent on American flights. For frequent fliers, this is a great way to double dip and earn both American and Hyatt miles and points.
Transfer points from Chase Ultimate Rewards®. World of Hyatt is a transfer partner with Chase Ultimate Rewards®. This means you can move points from Chase to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio when you are short of points on a redemption. Because NerdWallet considers Hyatt points as incredibly valuable (worth an estimated 1.8 cents each), this makes Hyatt one of the best Chase transfer partners.
Use Hyatt's own credit card: This can be a great way to rack up points on everyday spending.
The bottom line
The addition of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas to the World of Hyatt program is a game-changer for Hyatt members. While the loss of the MGM partnership was a setback, this new partnership with The Venetian restores Hyatt’s presence on the Las Vegas Strip, providing members with a luxurious option to earn and redeem points. Whether you choose The Venetian or one of Hyatt’s other Las Vegas properties, there are now more ways than ever to enjoy a rewarding stay in Sin City.
