The best Disneyland ticket deals for 2026 so far

Kids’ ticket discount

For visits between May 22 through September 7, 2026, children ages 3–9 can purchase Park Hopper tickets starting at $50 per child for a one-day ticket. That's a huge discount compared to the standard starting price of $189 on those dates.
Park reservations are required, and reservations for these discounted tickets are allocated separately from regular tickets — meaning a date showing availability for standard tickets may be fully booked for Kids' Summer Ticket holders. Check reservation availability before purchasing, and book as early as possible.

Hotel savings

Disney is offering hotel discounts for multi-night stays at the three Disneyland Resort hotels, which are the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Pixar Place Hotel.
  • Four night stays from May 22 to Sept. 7: Save up to 25% on stays of four nights or more. Book before Aug. 25, 2026.
  • Weeknight stays from May 22 to Sept. 7: Not staying quite that long? You can save up to 15% off on stays at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Disneyland Hotel on Sunday-Thursday nights for visits between May 22 and September 7, 2026. Or, save up to 10% on both Standard and Premium room types at Pixar Place Hotel across the same dates.
These offers apply to most room types except some concierge rooms and suites.

Magic Key passes

Consider purchasing an annual pass (called a Magic Key). These annual passes start at $599, and can be cheaper than buying Park Hopper theme park admission on multiple days throughout the year. It also offers discounts on select parking, dining and merchandise. Be sure to check the blackout dates before you buy.

What’s new at Disneyland in 2026

Among the top new additions coming to the parks in 2026 are:

Halloween and fall festivities arrive in August

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort runs Aug. 21 to Oct. 31, with seasonal décor, attraction overlays including Haunted Mansion Holiday (themed to "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas"), Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, plus the "Mickey's Trick and Treat" daytime show and the "Halloween Screams" fireworks on select nights.
Adjacent events include Plaza de la Familia, the Día de los Muertos celebration inspired by Pixar's "Coco," which returns to Disney California Adventure from Aug. 21 to Nov. 2.
And then there's Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, a separately ticketed after-hours event at Disney California Adventure, runs select nights from Aug. 18 to Oct. 31. New for 2026 is "Madame Leota's Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party," a street party themed to the Haunted Mansion.
If you want to go, mark the on-sale dates: Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on sale to the general public June 18, no earlier than 9 a.m. PT, with presale access for Magic Key holders June 17 and Inspire Magic Key holders June 16. Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit, a scavenger-hunt activity that comes with a keepsake, is also a paid add-on.

"Bluey's Best Day Ever!" debuts

In March 2026, the Fantasyland Theatre transformed into a celebration of the Disney+ animated series "Bluey" — and the kids have gone wild for it. Bluey and her sister Bingo appear on stage at set times throughout the day, joining a troupe of comedic performers and a live five-piece band.
Beyond the main stage, the upper and lower grounds of the theatre feature a life-sized Gnome Village and Fairy Garden with interactive games, storytelling, and photo opportunities including a class photo with Bluey's school friends.
The food is worth noting for families on a budget: a new kids meal combo is available for $5.99 — genuinely affordable by Disney standards. Other themed items include the Magic "Asparagus" Pretzel (a white chocolate-dipped pretzel rod), Poffertjes (mini Dutch pancakes with buttered condensed milk), a Pavlova Parfait, Watermelon Ice Block and a Mud Cake Cold Brew for adults.

New Star Wars story on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

As of May 22, 2026, coinciding with the theatrical release of "The Mandalorian and Grogu" film, the Millennium Falcon attraction now features a new story revolving around characters from the film. Millennium Falcon is a simulator attraction located in the relatively new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge land in Disneyland. Theme park reporter Sally French (and self-professed Star Wars nerd) tried it out and greatly appreciated the new version from the other one.

Soarin' gets an America-focused update

In honor of America's 250th anniversary, the Soarin' attraction — a flight simulator in Disney California Adventure — will debut "Soarin' Across America" on July 2, 2026. This new video will feature landscapes and cityscapes from across the U.S. Previous iterations of the ride included a California-themed flight and an around-the-world flight.

70th anniversary celebration concludes

The Disneyland Resort's 70th anniversary festivities, which began in May 2025, will wrap up on Aug. 9, 2026. Before that date, you can still see the “World of Color Happiness!” water-and-light show in Disney California Adventure and try festive food, like purple ube churros. Already, we're seeing lots of discounts on 70th merchandise inside the parks.

Downtown Disney additions

Several new dining and retail options are scheduled to open (or already have opened) in 2026, including:
  • Earl of Sandwich, a restaurant known for its relatively affordable (by Disney standards) sandwiches and salads.
  • Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby, a Brit pop-themed gastropub by the famous chef.
  • Lululemon, an athletic apparel retailer.

When is the cheapest time to visit Disneyland?

Based on data provided by Kayak to NerdWallet for airfares and hotel rates made within about 12 weeks of travel for trips between June 2025 and May 2026, September is the cheapest month to fly to Los Angeles, at an average $266 round trip — followed by August ($277) and October ($286). Anaheim hotels are cheapest in August, averaging $182 a night, with September close behind at $185.

October

The number to watch is October. Anaheim hotel rates jump to $239 a night — the most expensive month of the year — as Halloween demand peaks. If you want the Halloween experience without the Halloween hotel rate, go earlier: Halloween Time and Oogie Boogie Bash both start in mid-to-late August, when rooms run about $57 a night cheaper.

How you might save more on a Disney vacation in 2026: The Disney® Inspire Visa® Card

Disney® Inspire Visa® Card
NerdWallet rating
If you're a serious Disney fan, the Disney® Inspire Visa® Card — issued by Chase and launched in February 2026 — is worth considering. With a $149 annual fee, it's the first Disney credit card NerdWallet actually recommends.
The most relevant perk for a Disney trip: the card earns 200 Disney Rewards Dollars after spending $2,000 on U.S. Disney Resort stays and Disney Cruise Line bookings each anniversary year. Disney Rewards Dollars can be redeemed toward eligible park tickets, hotel stays, dining and merchandise. That means a family spending $2,000 on a Disney hotel stay or cruise effectively gets $200 back to apply toward their next visit — a perk that easily outweighs the card's annual fee.
A few other card perks that apply specifically to a Disney trip include:
  • $100 statement credit after spending $200 per anniversary year on U.S. Disney theme park tickets.
  • Up to $120 annual credit on Disney+, Hulu and Plus.ESPN.com purchases, issued as a $10 statement credit each month. Terms apply.
  • 0% promotional APR for six months on select Disney vacation packages.
  • 10% off select purchases at DisneyStore.com.
  • 10% off eligible merchandise purchases at select locations at Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort.
  • 10% off select dining locations most days at Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort.
For families who sail with Disney Cruise Line or who visit U.S. Disney parks at least once a year and stay on property, the card can pay for itself quickly. For one-time visitors or those staying off-property, a general travel rewards card that earns transferable points on all travel is likely a better fit.
