American Express has released a fresh wave of limited-time incentives for using eligible branded travel credit cards, even if you’re not traveling right now amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In moves that affect a wide range of Delta, Hilton and Marriott cards, the issuer is offering statement credits on dining purchases and wireless services, as well as bonus incentives when you use the card throughout the year. Terms apply. The credits come in monthly increments, and they don't roll over; you must use the credits each month or lose them.

In order to qualify for these benefits, you must have held the card as of Jan. 1, 2021. According to AmEx: "Eligibility for this offer is limited. Enrollment is required in the AmEx Offers section of your account before redeeming."

Dining credits for personal credit cards

If you have a personal Hilton, Marriott or Delta American Express credit card, make sure it’s in your wallet next time you dine out (or dine in with takeout or delivery).

Here’s how much each card could earn in dining credits in 2021:

Terms apply.

Wireless credits for business credit cards

Small-business owners probably aren’t wining and dining clients much yet, but they’re likely spending for wireless services each month. These co-branded AmEx credit cards are eligible to earn wireless credits each month when you use the card to pay your wireless bill:

Terms apply.

More ways to earn when you spend on the cards

Beyond dining and wireless expenses, AmEx is incentivizing cardholders to use these cards for other spending as well:

  • Eligible Hilton personal and business cards: Spend $5,000 on purchases, earn 10,000 bonus points (up to 10 times) through June 30, 2021. You can earn up to 100,000 bonus Hilton Honors points. Terms apply.

  • Eligible Marriott personal and business cards: Spend $7,500 on purchases, earn 7,500 bonus points (up to 10 times) through Dec. 31, 2021. You can earn up to 75,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points. Terms apply.

All eligible purchases count toward these bonuses for Hilton and Marriott (not just dining and wireless), and it’s a collective total of spending. In other words, you don’t have to spend $5,000 in one shot in order to qualify for the bonus Hilton points. When you make purchases on the card that add up to $5,000, you’ll earn the bonus.

  • Eligible Delta personal and business cards: Earn 5X miles per $1 spent on eligible Delta purchases through Dec. 31, 2021. Delta is also offering an extra status boost on two of its cards. Terms apply.
