Capital One Opens Travel Portal to More Cards, Adds Incentives

In time for summer travel, Capital One is rolling out new perks for cardholders. As of today, the issuer has opened up its travel portal, Capital One Travel, to all of its rewards credit card holders and it's rolling out a few incentives.
Here are the latest offerings from the issuer.
Capital One Travel expands access and rewards
As of May 17, 2022, eligible cardholders can book through the Capital One Travel portal and earn an unlimited 5% cash back rate on hotel stays and car rentals. This offer will be ongoing.
Cards that are newly eligible for this incentive include:
Savor cards
Quicksilver cards
Spark cards
Capital One® Spark® Classic for Business.
Journey cards
All.
Previously, only cardholders with a Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card - Miles Boost, Capital One Spark Miles for Business, and Capital One® Spark® Miles Select for Business could book arrangements through Capital One Travel.
The portal will continue offering price alerts, price drop protection and the option to cancel a flight for any reason. Rewards may also be redeemed in the portal at a 1:1 ratio, meaning that $1 earned in cash rewards redeems as $1 towards travel.
Some cards boost incentives
Capital One also announced new sign-up offers for the following cards:
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card: Earn 75,000 miles after spending $4,000 within 3 months of account opening. Previously, this card offered 60,000 miles after spending $3,000 on purchases within 3 months from opening an account.
The Capital One SavorOne Student Cash Rewards Credit Card and The Capital One Quicksilver Student Cash Rewards Credit Card: For a limited time, earn $100 when you spend $100 in the first three months of opening an account. Previously, these student cards didn't offer a sign-up bonus.
Capital One has also partnered with Turo, a peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace, and will offer Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card holders 10x miles and Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card holders 5x miles when booking rentals through May 16, 2023, on Turo's app or website.
Is it a good deal?
Capital One’s credit cards have typically leaned toward travel-friendly since the issuer doesn’t charge any foreign transaction fees on any of its credit cards. The issuer’s latest incentive for booking hotels and car rentals through Capital One Travel will provide cardholders with even more value on their next trip.
New cardholders will also benefit from healthier sign-up offers that can further travel or stretch a student budget.
