MetLife renters insurance is now provided by Farmers Insurance, which acquired MetLife’s auto and home insurance business in April 2021. Former MetLife renters policyholders may now see branding from Farmers or Foremost (a Farmers subsidiary) on their insurance documents.

If you previously used MetLife’s mobile app to manage your policy, you’ll need to switch to the Farmers app going forward. You can still use your existing agent and should not lose any group discounts if you got your MetLife policy through an employer.
