Breeze Airways baggage policy
Some airlines have a universal baggage allowance, such as one personal item and one complimentary carry-on bag. Others, meanwhile, may require passengers in all seat classes to pay for a carry-on bag.
As an ultra-low-cost airline, Breeze Airways also got creative with its baggage policy.
Breeze Airways baggage rules and allowances are based on the type of ticket you purchase. When purchasing a ticket, your three seat options are Nice (the most affordable fare, comparable to a basic economy seat), Nicer and Nicest.
As you can imagine, you get what you pay for in terms of Breeze Airways baggage restrictions.
Nice | Nicer | Nicest | |
---|---|---|---|
Personal Item | One item (17x13x8 in). | One item (17x13x8 in). | One item (17x13x8 in). |

Checked baggage
If you purchased a Nice fare ticket, complimentary checked baggage isn’t included. Nicer fare passengers get one checked bag included with their ticket. Nicest fare passengers can check-in two bags at no additional cost.
Items such as wheelchairs and strollers aren’t counted against your included checked baggage allowance. Breeze Airways doesn’t accept bags weighing more than 99 pounds or over 80 linear inches.
Passengers can purchase up to three checked bags ahead of time on the Breeze website or Breeze app.
There are no baggage kiosks at the airport. If you need to check a bag that wasn’t paid for in advance, you’ll need to bring it to the ticket counter and it will be charged as an excess bag at a higher fee.
To change or cancel your checked bags, make sure to do so more than 24 hours ahead of your departure time. You’ll need to drop your bags off at the ticket desk two hours in advance of your flight.
Active military guest baggage
As an active U.S. military guest, your fare includes two checked bags and one carry-on at no additional charge. Your bags, however, must still meet Breeze Airways checked baggage weight and size limits.
You don’t need to add your bags when booking your flight. Instead, just bring your valid U.S. military ID and baggage directly to the ticket counter. Your military ID will be checked again at the gate for courtesy preboarding and your complimentary carry-on bag.
