We believe everyone should be able to make financial decisions with
confidence. While we don't cover every company or financial product on
the market, we work hard to share a wide range of offers and objective
editorial perspectives.
So how do we make money? Our partners compensate us for advertisements that
appear on our site. This compensation helps us provide tools and services -
like free credit score access and monitoring. With the exception of
mortgage, home equity and other home-lending products or services, partner
compensation is one of several factors that may affect which products we
highlight and where they appear on our site. Other factors include your
credit profile, product availability and proprietary website methodologies.
However, these factors do not influence our editors' opinions or ratings, which are based on independent research and analysis. Our partners cannot
pay us to guarantee favorable reviews. Here is a list of our partners.

Chase has quietly made one of the best upgrades to its travel portal yet for cruise enthusiasts: You can now search for and book cruises entirely online through Chase Travel, with no phone call required.
For people averse to picking up the phone and calling, that's a significant improvement over the previous process. When Chase first added cruise search functionality to its portal in April 2025, you could browse itineraries online but still had to call a dedicated cruise agent to actually complete a booking. Now the entire process — from browsing to checkout — happens online, and you can pay with either cash or Chase Ultimate Rewards® points.
That said, there's still the option to call and chat with one of Chase's travel advisors, which can still be a smart move if you want to take their insights on the best ship to book (or perhaps even the best stateroom within that ship).
What you can book
The upgrade opens up a massive selection of sailings. Chase Travel now offers more than 40 cruise lines and 20,000 cruise itineraries, spanning everything from mainstream lines like Royal Caribbean and MSC Cruises to luxury brands like Silversea Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Why booking cruises through Chase Travel may be a smart move
NerdWallet's ratings are determined by our editorial team. The scoring formula takes into account the type of card being reviewed (such as cash back, travel or balance transfer) and the card's rates, fees, rewards and other features.
Booking through Chase Travel isn't just about convenience — it can meaningfully boost the rewards you earn on what is often one of the biggest travel purchases of the year.
Select Chase cardmembers receive accelerated points earning or cash back when booking through Chase Travel. For example, Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardmembers earn 8 points per dollar spent on Chase Travel purchases. That makes a cruise booked through the portal one of the most rewarding ways to spend a large sum on travel.
To put that in perspective: A $5,000 cruise booking through Chase Travel would earn 40,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards® points if you paid with a Chase Sapphire Reserve® card.
Voyages by Chase Travel: Extra perks on select sailings
Certain cruises are designated as Voyages by Chase Travel℠ sailings, which unlock exclusive benefits beyond just the points earning. By booking one of these designated sailings, you'll receive perks like onboard credits, package upgrades and more. Exact benefits vary by sailing, but previous examples have included shore excursion credits, specialty dining experiences for two guests and unlimited Starbucks packages.
With the full booking process now online, it's significantly easier to browse, compare and take advantage of these Voyages by Chase Travel deals without having to navigate a phone booking process.
Certain cruises are part of a program called Voyages by Chase Travel℠. By booking a cruise designated as a "Voyages by Chase Travel" sailing, you'll qualify for benefits like onboard credits and package upgrades.
How to book a cruise through Chase Travel
Log into Chase Travel through your Chase account and click the cruises icon to browse available sailings. You can filter by cruise line, destination, departure date, length and price. When you're ready to book, you can check out entirely online and pay with your card, Chase Ultimate Rewards® points or a combination of both.
