American Express premium cardholders are in for a treat today, as American Express and MAG USA have just announced the opening of two new lounges in Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). The all-new Centurion Lounge and Escape Lounge will provide a private getaway for cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express and Centurion® Card from American Express who are transiting PHX. Both lounges are located in Terminal 4 and are accessible by a common entrance with separate reception desks. Premium cardholders can stretch out and enjoy a combined 9,500+ square feet of space with a nod to local cuisine, creative cocktails and plenty of seating areas for work and relaxation.
Chef Doug Robson, of the Phoenix-based Mexican eateries Gallo Blanco and Otro Cafe, will create seasonal menus for both lounges. With local tastes highlighted and some spice added to the lounge catering, guests can experience Phoenix eats even if they don’t have the chance to leave the airport during a layover.

The Escape Lounge at PHX
Escape Lounge is owned by MAG USA, which partners with American Express to bring the Escape Lounge experience to premium cardholders. Cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express and the Centurion® Card from American Express (plus two guests) have complimentary access to The Escape Lounge, and non-members can gain entrance for a fee. Terms apply. The standard walk-in fee is $45 plus tax, and nonmembers can book online at least 24 hours in advance to save $5.
