Other business cards with no foreign transaction fee

There are a lot of business cards that don’t charge a foreign transaction fee. The following ones didn’t make our editorial team’s top picks (jump to our methodology). But we’d still recommend them if they fit your specific needs.
The Brex Card is designed for startups and fast-growing companies. It offers high rewards for travel, software and dining. It also charges no foreign transaction fee, making it a good fit for teams with international vendors or employees abroad. This corporate card is not available for sole proprietors.

The Ramp Card is a corporate charge card available to registered businesses that have strong revenue and at least $25,000 in a business bank account. There's no personal guarantee or credit check and you get built-in expense management and card-level spending controls. Ramp has no annual fee and offers cash back on qualified purchases, but the actual reward rate varies by business.

This card earns 1.5% back and has no annual fee or foreign transaction fee. It’s also one of the few business credit cards you can get with less-than-perfect credit. Capital on Tap says applicants with a FICO score of 670 or higher have the best chance of approval. But the card is available to business owners with fair credit (typically considered a score from 630 to 689). This card is not available for sole proprietors.

This premium business travel card packs in a lot of perks, including travel credits and lounge access for the cardholder and guests. But that all comes with a steep annual fee ($795). Among luxury business travel cards, we value The Business Platinum a bit more (even if it is slightly more expensive). There are more affordable ways to avoid a foreign transaction fee, though.

How we chose the best no foreign transaction fee business cards

Our editorial team evaluated more than 70 business cards for 2026. We rate those cards on rewards, perks and costs — including foreign transaction fees.
Cards needed to earn at least 4.5 stars to make our list of the best business credit cards with no foreign transaction fee. Beyond that, we based our picks on:
  • Annual fee.
  • Overall rewards.
  • Availability.
We narrowed our choices to the cards that offer the most value to the most business owners.
That left some cards with super high annual fees (looking at you, Sapphire Reserve for Business) off this list, even though they don’t have a foreign transaction fee. These cards are still fits for businesses that will use all of the cards' other benefits.
We also did not include corporate cards. Most aren’t available to sole proprietors — the majority of business owners. These cards are still a great option for startups and incorporated companies, especially those looking for more robust expense management tools.
Business cards that earn 5 stars are considered exceptional. These cards are best-in-class and deliver the most value for the greatest number of business owners.
Business cards that earn 4.0 to 4.9 stars are good to excellent. They deliver excellent value and might be the best choice for certain businesses, depending on your needs and spending habits.
Business cards that earn 3.0 to 3.9 stars are fine business cards. You'll get some value out of using them, to be sure, but there are other cards that offer better rewards.
Business cards that earn below 3 stars are considered subpar and would generally not be recommended by NerdWallet.

Does your business need a card with no foreign transaction fee?

There are two main reasons to carry a business card with no foreign transaction fee:
  • You travel internationally.
  • You purchase inventory or supplies from overseas vendors.
If either is true for your business, you need a card with no foreign transaction fee.
Using a business card with no foreign transaction fee will save you as much as 3% on each transaction. And that’s before you factor in cash back or travel rewards.

How to choose a no foreign transaction fee business credit card

If you do business overseas, you need a card with no foreign transaction fee. The best option then comes down to rewards and where that international spend comes from.
Start with how you spend:
  • Frequent traveler? Choose a card that offers perks like travel credits and lounge access. If you’re loyal to a specific airline or hotel, a branded card can help you earn elevated status. Otherwise, opt for a general business travel card like the Ink Business Preferred or Venture X Business.
  • Buying from overseas vendors? A flat-rate cash-back card beats paying for travel perks you won't use. Capital One offers the best options. Most other cash-back cards charge a foreign transaction fee.
  • Both? Look for a card that rewards general spending at a solid base rate.
Then consider these before you apply:
  • Card network: Visa and Mastercard are accepted almost everywhere. American Express has gaps in parts of Asia, Africa and Latin America.
  • Employee cards: Most cards restrict certain benefits to the primary cardholder. If your employees travel, make sure they can use the perks, too.
  • Annual fee: Most no foreign transaction fee cards have an annual fee — anywhere from $95 to $895, depending on the card and its perks. Will the savings on the foreign transaction fee alone justify the fee? Or do you need to use the travel perks too?

Are currency conversion fees different from foreign transaction fees?

Currency conversion fees are separate from foreign transaction fees. These surcharges can apply even if your card has no foreign transaction fee.
Currency conversion fees vary based on how you pay for an international purchase.
  • If you pay in local currency: Your card network (Visa, Mastercard or AmEx) handles the conversion at their set exchange rate, usually around 1%.
  • If you pay in U.S. dollars: The merchant uses the dynamic currency conversion rate charged by its provider. This is usually higher than the rate card networks charge and can carry additional fees.
The bottom line: Pay in local currency whenever possible. Dynamic currency conversion can make costs feel more transparent, but you typically pay more for that convenience.

Methodology

NerdWallet's writers and editors monitor more than 70 business credit cards to select the best options without outside input from partners or other business interests. We evaluate business cards based on value and simplicity, weighing fees, sign-up bonuses and reward rates, alongside perks like interest-free periods, statement credits and elite status (for travel cards).
We consider more than 20 data points for each card we score, including detailed information about rewards, credits and fees. We gather this information from rates and fees documents, deposit account agreements, financial institution websites and company representatives.
Our editorial team regularly reviews and updates our data to ensure consistency and accuracy. We also update our scoring on an ongoing basis to reflect changing industry norms and business owner needs. For instance, in 2026, we added a small deduction for cards that don’t allow users to issue virtual cards and removed the small increase for cards with no preset spending limit.
Final star ratings range from one to five stars. A five-star score represents the best available product for the largest number of business owners. Learn how NerdWallet rates small-business credit cards.
