Does Discover offer business credit cards?

No, Discover does not currently offer business credit cards. The issuer previously had such cards, including for the Discover it® Business Card, but is not accepting new applications at this time.
That was a flat-rate cash-back business credit card with no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees. Plenty of other credit card companies have options that offer combinations of the perks Discover provided small-business owners.
One exception is Discover's first-year rewards match. However, a number of lucrative business credit card sign-up bonuses are available.

Can you use a personal Discover credit card for your business?

As long as the card issuer allows it, you can use a personal credit card for your business. Check your cardholder agreement for acceptable uses.
If you’re a solopreneur who needs to consolidate business credit card debt, the Discover it® Cash Back may be worth a look. It offers a 0% intro APR for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers, and then the ongoing APR of 17.74%-26.74% Variable APR *Rates as of December 15, 2025. Intro periods on balance transfer business credit cards are rare, while personal cards are more likely to offer them.
Other than that, there are several important advantages business credit cards offer versus personal cards:
  • Business credit cards tend to have higher credit limits.
  • They may offer larger sign-up bonuses and extra cash back on categories related to business spending, like gas and office supplies.
  • They can help you build your business credit score.
  • You can often get free employee credit cards for your team to use on your behalf.

Methodology

NerdWallet's business credit card team selects the best small-business credit cards without outside input from partners or other business interests. We evaluate business cards based on value and simplicity, weighing fees, sign-up bonuses and reward rates, alongside perks like interest-free periods, statement credits and elite status (for travel cards). Business cards that earn the highest scores deliver the most value to the greatest number of business owners.
Notable changes to our methodology for 2025 include factoring in whether spending on employee cards earns rewards and counts toward the welcome offer requirements. We also now consider what information the card issuer reports to consumer credit bureaus. Learn how NerdWallet rates small-business credit cards.
