Bilt Points Now Transfer to Southwest: A Decent Deal

Southwest isn't Bilt's most valuable transfer partner, but it's a solid one.

» Update

As of Nov. 5, 2025, the version of the Bilt World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card issued by Wells Fargo is no longer accepting new applications. Existing cardholders can use their cards through Feb. 6, 2026, and after that point, they can transition to a new version of the card. They can choose to close their old Wells Fargo card account, but if they leave it open, it will be converted to a Wells Fargo Autograph® Card with a different card number.
Your rent payments could help cover your next Southwest Airlines flight.
Starting April 24, 2025, Bilt Rewards points can be transferred to the Southwest Rapid Rewards program at a 1:1 ratio, meaning you can convert one Bilt point to one Southwest Rapid Rewards point. If you're already earning Bilt rewards on rent and other purchases, this partnership gives you another solid way to use those points. (With the no-annual-fee Bilt World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card, you can earn up to 100,000 points on rent payments per calendar year without a transaction fee.)
Because NerdWallet values Southwest points at 1.3 cents each, transferring Bilt points to Southwest is a pretty good deal, albeit not the best. Another Bilt transfer partner, World of Hyatt, offers a higher value. NerdWallet values Hyatt points at 1.8 cents each.
The Bilt partnership comes as Southwest faces criticism after announcing it would end open seating and its popular free checked bag policy. For disheartened Southwest flyers, this new Bilt partnership is a bit of good news.

How to transfer Bilt points to Southwest

Bilt members can initiate 1:1 transfers to Southwest in the Bilt app or on Bilt’s website. To do this, you must be enrolled in both Bilt Rewards and the Southwest Rapid Rewards program.
One minor drawback: You won’t be able to move points instantly. Transfers are processed in batches twice per day.
Still, it’s one of the better ways to redeem Bilt points, which can be earned on the Bilt World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card or through the Bilt program, which is free to join.
