We believe everyone should be able to make financial decisions with
confidence. While we don't cover every company or financial product on
the market, we work hard to share a wide range of offers and objective
editorial perspectives.
So how do we make money? Our partners compensate us for advertisements that
appear on our site. This compensation helps us provide tools and services -
like free credit score access and monitoring. With the exception of
mortgage, home equity and other home-lending products or services, partner
compensation is one of several factors that may affect which products we
highlight and where they appear on our site. Other factors include your
credit profile, product availability and proprietary website methodologies.
However, these factors do not influence our editors' opinions or ratings, which are based on independent research and analysis. Our partners cannot
pay us to guarantee favorable reviews. Here is a list of our partners.

The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is a big player in the travel card space: You get rich travel rewards, a big sign-up bonus and flexible redemption options all wrapped into one card.
NerdWallet's ratings are determined by our editorial team. The scoring formula takes into account the type of card being reviewed (such as cash back, travel or balance transfer) and the card's rates, fees, rewards and other features.
You'll collect miles at a healthy clip by using the card for everyday purchases: Cardholders earn an unlimited 2 miles per $1 spent on purchases, plus 5 miles per $1 spent on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.
2. Sizable sign-up bonus
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card’s sign-up bonus is impressive: Earn a one-time bonus of 75,000 miles once you spend $4,000 on purchases within 3 months from account opening, equal to $750 in travel. The annual fee is $95 (see rates and fees).
3. Flexible redemption options
Miles can be redeemed for credit on your statement against any travel purchase, meaning you can fly any airline or book any hotel, and then use your miles to cover the cost. You can also use miles to book travel directly through Capital One. Miles are worth 1 cent apiece when used either of these ways. Additionally, you can transfer your miles to more than a dozen partner airline and hotel loyalty programs. That’s a lot of options for travelers who enjoy flying on different airlines and changing up which hotels they stay in.

🤓Nerdy Tip
Capital One also advertises access to Paribus and Wikibuy. The former is a service that works similarly to a price protection benefit, in which you can be refunded the difference if a price drops after you buy it. The latter is an online shopping comparison tool that aims to help you find the best price on an item. Neither Paribus nor Wikibuy, however, requires you to have a Capital One card.
12. Exclusive access
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card offers special access to things like curated culinary experiences, concerts and festivals, and sporting events.
