Best Christmas Tree Shops Black Friday Deals from 2012

Opening its doors at 6am on last year’s Black Friday, Christmas Tree Shops offered buyers a good mix of kitchen essentials, furniture, and home décor—not to mention the great holiday-themed gifts. The 4-page ad started with a coupon on the front, 20% off the entire purchase, available only from 6am until noon on Friday. This was the store’s version of an early bird special.

Let’s start with the bigger items. The $49.99 Rocking Horses saved shoppers $40 off their purchase, the $14.99 Vivitar refractor microscope/telescope set had a savings of $25, and a foldable ping pong table was $49.99. The most expensive item on the ad, the 1400-Watt Dual Entertainment Fireplace (with five brightness settings), had 25% off, making the new price $299.99.

The deals that supplemented the bigger items included the $3.99 Porcelain Music Box Ornaments, the $1.99 Jumbo Popcorn Bowls, and $2.99 Famous Maker hats, scarves, and gloves. To get in the holiday spirit, buyers could wrap all these gifts with the Christmas Jumbo Roll Wrap (40” x 225-sq ft.) available for $4.99. If buyers wanted to help teach their kids about savings, an exciting way to do that was with the digital coin banks (with auto total tracking) was a sleek device available for $4.99.

Bed Bath & Beyond, the parent company of Christmas Tree Shops, did remarkably well in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2012, up 14.9% increase in sales compared to the same quarter in 2011. So if in need of Christmas-themed gifts, try Christmas Tree Shops!
