Music & Arts Black Friday 2013

We’ve got the Music & Arts Black Friday 2013 ad leak right here! This 4-page ad is one of the season’s more modest Black Friday ads, with a somewhat limited handful of instruments on sale. Only a couple of items are half-off, while the rest are marked down less dramatically. Still, you can find over $100 in savings on top brands like Ibanez, Casio and more, so this ad leak isn’t without its highlights.

The Music & Arts Black Friday ad also includes a coupon for 15% off, but since the fine print specifies that it can’t be used with other discounts, offers or sales, that doesn’t exactly improve the store’s slightly underwhelming discounts. Ultimately, if you’re already planning on making a musical instrument one of your big-ticket gifts this year, Music & Arts is probably worth checking out – after all you can still save over $100 on some of these items, which isn’t too shabby at all.

Music & Arts Black Friday Deals from 2012

Music & Arts, a subsidiary of Guitar Center, caters to all who are just getting started on their musical journeys. They offer just about everything a music-lover would want to purchase, but also provide music lessons and instrument rentals for students.  Even if your instrument breaks, they’ve got you covered with their convenient repair services!

Those who love music know that their passion is anything but cheap. Yet, come Black Friday, Music & Arts’ coupons and sales makes music just a bit more accessible to instrument enthusiasts. Last year, Music & Art’s deals averaged just over 49% off of regular prices. The list below highlights some of the best deals from 2012:

  • $79.99 Mitchell Junior acoustic guitar (originally $169.99)
  • $99.95 Sound Percussion junior drum set (originally $199.95)
  • $99.99 Lanikai Ukulele (originally $249.95)
  • $199.99 Bundy student piccolo (originally $489)
  • $5.99 guitar stand (originally $19.99)

In addition to the outstanding sales prices, Music & Arts distributed coupons that could easily compound savings. They rewarded early birds by handing out $100 gift cards to the first 5 people who spent $199 or more on Friday. Considering the average price of most instruments, this total could be easily achieved with a single item. If customers decided to purchase an expensive single item, but weren’t one of the first five to the register, they could still save 20% coupon on Friday only.

Saturday and Sunday shoppers were also offered opportunities to save, but those coupons would be more advantageous for smaller purchases.  One coupon took $5 off purchases of $25 or more, and the other took $25 off of purchases of $100 or more. At the end of the day, some discount is better than no discount, but these coupons couldn’t hold a candle to those of Friday’s.

Overall, Music & Arts’ 2012 Black Friday discounts hovered around 50% off, which is a considerable bargain for musical instruments. That being said, it’s still important to strategically plan how to best use the coupons and take advantage of the sales. None of the coupons apply to any of the sale items except the gift card deal, which is given only to a few lucky customers. Be sure to take advantage of the latest ad scans and plan early to get the items you need without busting your budget!
