JetBlue may have a largely domestic presence, but its TrueBlue loyalty program partners with airlines, hotels, car rental agencies and financial services firms to allow you to earn and redeem points for a broad range of rewards, including international flights.

Unlike many of the other major airlines, JetBlue isn't a member of a major airline alliance. Instead, JetBlue has developed one-off partnerships with various airlines. And JetBlue transfer benefits vary from partner to partner. For example, while you can earn and redeem TrueBlue points on Icelandair flights, you can only earn TrueBlue points when flying Singapore Airlines, not redeem.

If you want to earn TrueBlue points by converting other rewards currencies, turn to financial services partners like Chase and American Express let you transfer points to TrueBlue, often at a 1:1 ratio.

Here’s an overview of how to make the most of all JetBlue's travel partnerships and other points-earning avenues so you can earn the most JetBlue points possible, and spend them on the most lucrative redemptions:

An overview of JetBlue partners

JetBlue currently has the following airline partners with which members can earn or redeem points, depending on the airline:

  • Cape Air.

  • Condor.

  • Etihad Airways.

  • Icelandair.

  • Japan Airlines.

  • JSX.

  • Qatar Airways.

  • Singapore Airlines.

  • South African Airways.

As of October 2025, you can no longer book Hawaiian Airlines itineraries to earn or redeem TrueBlue points. Any retroactive requests to earn TrueBlue points on Hawaiian must be submitted by March 2026.

However, JetBlue is expected to add United as an earn-and-redeem partner in late 2025 through their Blue Sky partnership, offering TrueBlue members another way to use their points.

JetBlue also has codeshare partnerships with airlines including Aer Lingus, British Airways and Turkish Airlines.

Other travel partnerships include two hotel brands — IHG One Rewards and YOTEL — as well as two car rental loyalty programs, Avis and Budget.

Members can earn extra TrueBlue points by booking JetBlue vacations. And lastly, JetBlue TrueBlue points can be "earned" by transferring points from the following credit card programs:

Nerdy Perspective

How have you used JetBlue points?

JetBlue airline partners

Etihad Airways

TrueBlue members can earn and redeem points with Etihad Airways, which primarily flies to and from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

Members can earn points whether they book through JetBlue, Etihad or a third-party channel, with earn rates varying based on fare type and distance flown. Rates range from 0% to 110% for economy fares, and from 130% to 275% for business and first class fares. Residence fares earn an impressive 400% of miles flown.

To redeem JetBlue points for Etihad flights, book through JetBlue and select an eligible Etihad fare. Redemption rates will vary.

Icelandair

You can book Icelandair flights directly on Icelandair's website or on JetBlue.com. As with all the other airlines, you’ll need to add your TrueBlue number to an Icelandair reservation to earn points, no matter which website you book from.

When you choose to earn TrueBlue points for your Icelandair flights, you'll earn a percent of the miles flown based on your class of service. Here's the TrueBlue points earnings rate based on your fare type:

  • Economy Light: 25%.

  • Economy Standard: 50%.

  • Economy Flex: 100%.

  • Saga Premium: 125%.

  • Saga Premium Flex: 150%.

Japan Airlines

Japan Airlines is JetBlue's sole redeem-only partner, meaning you can book flights on the Japanese carrier with TrueBlue points, but you can't earn them.

The airline offers several direct flights from the U.S. to Tokyo and is largely regarded as one of the best airlines in the world, whether you're flying in economy or its ultra-luxurious first class cabin. Redemption rates will vary, and award availability may be limited.

JSX

JSX offers a semi-private flying experience on its fleet of regional jets. It uses private air terminals, separate from commercial airline terminals, so you can typically show up at the airport as late as 20 minutes before your flight and still board on time.

JSX flights will earn you 150 or 250 TrueBlue points per segment depending on your fare type.

Qatar Airways

TrueBlue members can earn and redeem TrueBlue points on all qualifying Qatar Airways-operated flights, and earnings rates vary based on the fare type and distance.

Economy tickets earn between 25% and 100% of miles flown. Once you start to book in premium classes, you start to rake in more points. Business class tickets get 125%, while first class nets you 150%.

As with all the other airlines, input your TrueBlue number when booking your Qatar Airways flight.

To redeem points for Qatar Airways flights, book through JetBlue and select "Use TrueBlue Points" on eligible Qatar Airways flights.

Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines is one of JetBlue's earn-only partners. You won't be able to redeem TrueBlue points for flights with the carrier, but you can earn points on flights booked through JetBlue or Singapore Airlines.

Select economy and premium economy fares earn 50% of miles flown, while certain business and first class fares earn 100%. Not all fares are eligible to earn TrueBlue points.

South African Airways

As with Singapore Airlines, TrueBlue members are only eligible to earn points on flights with South African Airways.

Points-earning flights can be booked through JetBlue or South African Airways, but not all fare classes will earn points.

Discounted economy fares earn 50% of miles flown, standard economy fares earn 100% and business class fares earn 125%.

JetBlue travel partners

You don't just need to fly to earn JetBlue TrueBlue points for your travels. JetBlue has other travel partners that can net you more points for your hotel stays and rental car trips.

IHG One Rewards Club

Stay at a hotel in the IHG One Rewards portfolio to earn bonus points.

From your IHG rewards account, you'll need to update the earning preference on your Account Status page to JetBlue to get the credit.

You'll earn two points per $1 spent on qualifying room rates at most IHG hotels, though there are a few exceptions. You'll earn just one point per $1 spent at Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites. And for stays at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, it doesn't matter how much you spend. You'll earn a flat 500 points per qualifying stay — which can be a nice way to earn JetBlue points if you're staying just one night and scored one of those sub-$100 weeknight room rates.

🤓Nerdy Tip

You can't double dip and earn both IHG and JetBlue points. Typically the earning rate in the form of IHG points is actually better, so only go for this if you really want to build up your JetBlue balance, or you've found yourself at an IHG but don't intend to stay at one again (or at least enough to accrue any meaningful amount of IHG points).

YOTEL

TrueBlue members who book stays at YOTEL either through YOTEL's dedicated JetBlue booking page or TrueBlue Travel are eligible to earn 1 TrueBlue point per dollar spent on room rates, excluding taxes and fees. If booked through YOTEL's booking page, members can get 10% off Flexible Rate nights. Members will also receive a complimentary welcome amenity.

TrueBlue members who hold Mosaic elite status will get the 1x earning rate and the welcome amenity as well as room upgrades (when available) and late checkout.

Avis and Budget Rent-a-Car

TrueBlue members earn 100 TrueBlue points per rental day (200 for Mosaic elites) through Avis and Budget. Plus, all members can enjoy discounts up to 35% off base rates.

Just navigate to Avis/Budget from the JetBlue partner page and when you reserve your car, you’ll see a field to enter your TrueBlue membership number.

However, keep in mind that most airline and car rental partnerships charge you a frequent flyer surcharge that might negate the value you get in points.

JetBlue Vacations and TrueBlue Travel

JetBlue Vacations is a branch of the airline that offers package deals on your whole trip including hotels and, yes, JetBlue flights to many places where JetBlue flies. Then there's also TrueBlue Travel, a separate online travel site run by JetBlue that offers customers hotel rooms, car rentals, theme park tickets and more.

For every eligible $100 you spend with JetBlue Vacations or TrueBlue Travel, you earn 1 tile toward JetBlue's Mosaic elite status. (You earn Mosaic 1, the first status level, at 50 tiles.) For JetBlue Vacations, you must purchase a flight-and-hotel or flight-and-cruise package to earn tiles.

You can also earn TrueBlue points on eligible spending with JetBlue Vacations and TrueBlue Travel.

With TrueBlue Travel, you'll earn 1 point per $1 spent on hotel stays, vacation rentals, activities, theme park tickets, and travel bags from Briggs & Riley and Solo. TrueBlue Travel offers car rentals through Avis and Budget, so the earning rate is also 100 points (or 200 points for Mosaics) per day, for up to five days.

For JetBlue Vacations, your earnings rate depends on whether you have Mosaic status:

  • For TrueBlue members: Earn 6 TrueBlue points per dollar on airfare and 1 TrueBlue point per dollar spent on hotels, cruises, car rentals and transfers as a part of your individual per-person portion of a JetBlue Vacations package.

  • For Mosaic members: Earn 9 TrueBlue points per dollar spent on airfare and 1 TrueBlue point per dollar spent on hotels, cruises, car rentalss and transfers booked as a part of a JetBlue Vacations package.
