Cabin types: Virgin Voyages cruise ships feature up to five types of cabin: Insider rooms, Sea View rooms, Sea Terrace rooms, RockStar Quarters and Mega RockStar Quarters.
Main U.S. routes: Virgin Voyages' main U.S. routes head to the Caribbean and leave from Miami. In 2026, the cruise line will sail from Seattle to Alaska for the first time.

Generally, Virgin Voyages sails throughout the Caribbean, Europe, the Mediterranean and the U.S. Its longest trips max out at 16 nights and often include repositioning from one port to another. Its shortest journeys are a quick two nights, though you’ll also find four-night adventures.
In the past, the line has sailed to Australia and New Zealand, but it is not currently offering South Pacific itineraries.
Cabins range from 105 square feet to 2,167 square feet. The cheapest cabin is the Insider Cabin, while the Mega RockStar Quarters Cabin is the cruise line's most luxurious option, which comes with several added perks.
Insider Cabin: Ranges from 105-177 square feet, insider cabins are the most basic rooms on the ship. There are no windows.
Sea View Cabin: Ranges from 130-190 square feet and includes either a window seat or a porthole window.
Sea Terrace Cabin: Ranges from 185-225 square feet and includes a balcony generally with a built-in terrace hammock.
RockStar QuartersSuite: Ranges from 352-857 square feet and includes a balcony with a hammock, table and loungers. This cabin also includes a curated in-room bar, priority access to bookings, and a large marble bathroom.
Mega RockStar Quarters Suite: The largest available room on the ship, these range from 570-2,167 square feet. Added amenities include bottomless in-room bar, priority access, daily spa access, premium Wi-Fi and more.
If you're a solo traveler, consider booking a Solo Insider or a Solo Sea View which offers a smaller cabin in exchange for a cheaper price.
Virgin Voyages cruise prices
As with most cruise lines, the cost of a cruise depends upon when you’re traveling. You’ll find the most expensive cruises during periods of high demand such as summer and spring break.
Prices vary significantly by season, route, and cabin type. Generally, interior cabins start around $1,700 for shorter Caribbean sailings, while Mediterranean itineraries can range from $2,100 and up, plus taxes and fees.
Virgin Voyages has four ships in its fleet: Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady.
The oldest ship, Scarlet Lady, started sailing in 2021. As far as the onboard experience goes, they’re pretty similar. Each ship has more than 20 eateries (reservations are required for some), provides live entertainment and has plenty of locations to grab a drink.

What is the newest Virgin Voyages ship?
The newest (and fourth) Virgin Voyages ship, the Brilliant Lady, set sail in September 2025 for its inaugural voyage from New York to Bermuda. Brilliant Lady is structurally different from its sisters to accommodate Panama Canal crossings, unlocking the ability for Virgin Voyages to reach new places, such as Alaska.

In December 2025, Virgin Voyages launched a broad status match program that allows elite travelers to instantly receive Blue Extras benefits on their first Virgin Voyages sailing. If you hold high-tier status with eligible airline, hotel or cruise loyalty programs, you can receive Blue Extras perks without having to complete multiple voyages first.
To qualify, you must apply for the status match by January 16, 2026, and book a voyage by March 31, 2026. The status match is valid for sailings through summer 2027.
And finally, eligible hotel programs include Hilton Honors (Gold, Diamond), IHG One Rewards (Gold, Platinum, Diamond) and Marriott Bonvoy (Gold, Platinum, Titanium, Ambassador).
