Many or all of the products featured here are from our partners who compensate us. This may influence which products we write about and where and how the product appears on a page. However, this does not influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own. Here is a list of our partners and here's how we make money.

With more than 9,000 hotels around the world, you can find a Wyndham property almost anywhere you travel for work or pleasure. Wyndham’s loyalty program, Wyndham Rewards, covers 20 brands in more than 80 countries. Ramada, Travelodge, Days Inn, Super 8, Howard Johnson and La Quinta are just a few of the familiar names that participate in the program. Sign-up and you can reap awards, including the most coveted reward of all: Free nights.

Here is a look at the benefits you can receive as a member of Wyndham Rewards.

Earn free nights fast

Wyndham Rewards members receive a 10% discount off the best available rates. When you stay, you’ll earn points that can quickly add up to a free night, which at some Wyndham properties starts at just 7,500 points, so it doesn't take much to start to enjoy rewards.

Or, if you’d rather not wait for enough points, you can "Go Fast" and find discounted nights with a little cash for 1,500 to 6,000 points — and you’ll still earn points on your stay.

Plus, members may be offered the choice of earning double points on Wyndham’s everyday rates. Double-points offers, when available, will show up in the reservation search results.

Enjoy elite benefits

New Wyndham Rewards members are granted Blue status. But stay five nights and you’ll be moved up to Gold status. Stay 15 nights and you’ll advance to Platinum status, while Diamond benefits are yours after 40 nights. Here is what you can expect with elite status.

Free Wi-Fi: All loyalty members receive free basic Wi-Fi or high-speed internet access at participating hotels.

Late checkout: Gold members and higher can automatically get late checkout if it’s available. This could extend your stay for up to two hours.

Preferred choice of room: From Gold level and up, as long as a preferred room is available at check-in, members can receive larger rooms, renovated rooms or rooms with a view within the same booking category.

Early check-in: Once you hit Platinum status, you can receive early check-in, up to two hours before standard check-in times, as long as there is a room available.

Rental car upgrades through Avis or Budget: Diamond members also receive benefits through Wyndham’s partnership with two of the largest car rental companies in the world. Receive one class upgrade when available through either agency, up through full-size cars.

Suite upgrades: Once a member reaches Diamond status, complimentary suite upgrades are offered at participating hotels (based on availability).

Snacks and drinks: At the highest level you may also receive a welcome beverage or a snack at some of Wyndham’s brands, like TRYP by Wyndham, Dolce Hotels and Resorts, and Wyndham Grand.

Another plus? Dedicated member services for loyalty members, not to mention extra points for stays — from 10% to 20% based on status.

Earn with credit cards

Credit cards that partner with Wyndham, like the Wyndham Rewards® Visa® Card can help you earn points faster. Earn up to 30,000 bonus points, enough for up to 4 Free Nights. The card comes with an annual fee of $75.

If you prefer to avoid annual fees, the Wyndham Rewards® Visa® With No Annual Fee is a good option. Earn 15,000 bonus points after your first purchase or balance transfer – enough to redeem for up to two free nights.

The bottom line

It’s easy to reach elite status and earn VIP treatment when joining the free Wyndham Rewards program.
