Savannah, Georgia is a charming getaway where art, historical architecture, hip boutiques and ghost stories are all set against a beautiful Southern backdrop.

Here are things to do in Savannah during each season:

  • Summer: To beat the heat, take the Old Town Trolley tour, an open-air trolley and one of the most comprehensive sightseeing excursions available. See the Andrew Low House, the Cathedral of St. John, the Kehoe House, River Street and more. If the weather is making you melt, take a tour inside one of the historic homes, or visit a museum like The SCAD Museum of Art.

  • Autumn and winter: Winter is a quieter tourist season, so as a visitor you can get a glimpse of how the locals live. Enjoy ice skating, winter road races or one of the many winter-themed festivals that take place throughout the season.

  • Spring: Spring is a great time to check out the Forsyth Park, a garden filled with blooms that will take your senses on an aromatic journey. Or take a 30-minute road trip to Tybee Island where you can walk along the coast before it's too hot.
