Other top business cards for LLCs

These business credit cards are also worth considering. Before applying, confirm details on the issuer's website.

Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card

Best for: Unlimited 2% cash back + no annual fee
NerdWallet star rating:
5
.
The
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
is an excellent business card for LLCs. It's one of the only business credit cards to offer unlimited
2%
with no annual fee. On top of that, you get a long intro APR period and the chance to snag a nice welcome offer. The downside: You need an existing Wells Fargo checking or savings account to apply online. Otherwise, you need to visit a branch.

Can an LLC get a credit card?

Yes, LLCs can get credit cards. Approval for business credit cards largely depends on the personal credit of the applicant, not factors like incorporation status or revenue. In fact, a business credit card can be a great tool for new LLCs and existing companies to build business credit and separate business and personal finances.
You should apply for an LLC business card using your employer identification number, or EIN, though most business cards also require your Social Security number. You'll need to consent to a personal guarantee, too, which states that you (the applicant) will pay the bill if your business can't.
You may be able to get a business credit card with no personal guarantee if your LLC has high annual revenue and has been in business for several years. Those will typically be corporate cards. Because LLCs are registered businesses, they can usually qualify for these cards even though they aren't structured as corporations.

How to choose a business credit card for your LLC

The right business credit card for your LLC will help you finance necessary purchases and offer maximal rewards on your spending. Here’s what to look for while choosing one.

Methodology

NerdWallet's Credit Cards team selects the best credit cards for small business based on overall consumer value, as evidenced by star ratings, as well as their suitability for specific kinds of small-business operators. Factors in our evaluation include annual and other fees, rewards rates, the earning structure (for example, flat-rate rewards versus bonus categories), redemption options, bonus offers for new cardholders, introductory and ongoing APRs, and other noteworthy features such as special financing arrangements, free cards for employees or tools for managing business expenses.
