The
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
launched in May 2024 and set a new bar for cash-back business credit cards. The card has no annual fee and earns a flat
2%
cash back on all purchases — a reward rate previously reserved for “premium” cash-back cards with high annual fees.
Additional highlights of the
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
include a long intro APR period and a solid welcome offer:
Earn a $500 cash rewards bonus when you spend $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.
There are also a handful of benefits that you’d expect from a travel card but rarely see from the cash-back variety, including primary rental car coverage, delayed baggage reimbursement and trip accident protection.
With that roster of rewards and benefits, adding the
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
to your business wallet is a no-brainer. Simply put, no cash-back card matches the value or simplicity of the Signify Business Cash℠ Card. That’s why it’s NerdWallet’s pick for overall best cash-back business credit card.
The
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
is best for small-business owners who:
Want to earn a top-tier cash-back rate without paying an annual fee.
Prefer a flat cash-back rate to managing bonus categories.
Are planning for a big purchase and want a 0% APR intro period.
if you want to leverage bonus categories to maximize rewards: While the
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
excels at simplicity, the Triple Cash Rewards uses bonus categories to great effect — assuming those categories match your spending.
Earn 3% cash back on eligible purchases at gas stations and EV charging stations (transactions of $200 or less)*, office supply stores, cell phone service providers and restaurants (*excludes discount stores/supercenters and wholesale clubs). $150
), it also has a massive welcome offer best suited for big spenders (see rates and fees).
Earn a $500 cash rewards bonus when you spend $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.

Why you might want the Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
High cash-back rate with no caps
The
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
earns
2%
back on all purchases, with no limit to how much you can earn. The only other cash-back cards that match that unlimited rate are the
Ink Business Premier® Credit Card
and
Capital One Spark Cash Plus
card. But those are charge cards with high annual fees, while the Signify Business Cash Card has no annual fee.
Long intro APR period
Startup costs and operating expenses can be pricey. The
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
helps lighten that load with an into APR offer that gives you a year to pay off purchases interest-free. You’ll get 0% intro APR for 12 months from account opening on purchases. After that your variable APR will be
17.74%-25.74% Variable APR
.
Welcome bonus
The welcome offer for the
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
strikes a perfect balance between lucrative and attainable.
Earn a $500 cash rewards bonus when you spend $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.
Travel perks
For a cash-back business credit card, the
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
comes with a surprising number of travel-related perks. You’ll get primary rental car coverage that covers physical damage and theft. To qualify, you need to pay for the rental with your Signify Business Cash℠ Card and decline the car rental agency’s collision insurance. Since the coverage is primary, it kicks in before your commercial auto insurance does. Other terms apply.
The Signify Business Cash℠ Card also includes baggage delay coverage, which will cover the cost to replace your personal items if your checked bags are delayed (terms and limits apply). There’s also travel accident insurance that covers loss due to an accident while on a trip using a “common carrier” such as a taxi, rideshare, hotel shuttle, or while at a train station or airport terminal. See coverage details and limits.
Why you might want a different card
You spend big on advertising, gas or telecom
The
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
delivers an outstanding flat rewards rate, but you can snag a higher cash-back rate if you’re willing to deal with bonus categories.
, for example, offers up to 5% back on up to $25,000 a year in spending at office supply stores and on cable, internet and phone service. You’ll also get 2% back on up to $25,000 in spending at gas stations and restaurants — but just 1% cash back on all other spending.
Earn 3% cash back on eligible purchases at gas stations and EV charging stations (transactions of $200 or less)*, office supply stores, cell phone service providers and restaurants (*excludes discount stores/supercenters and wholesale clubs). Earn 1% cash back on all other eligible net purchases. Earn 5% cash back on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked directly in the Rewards Center.
Given the limits on bonus categories, it’s a smart play to pair one of the cards above with the
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
to earn the top rate on all your spending.
Foreign transaction fee and fewer travel rewards
While the
Wells Fargo Signify Business Cash℠ Card
does have some travel perks, it’s not ideal for travel abroad. The card charges a 3% foreign transaction fee, which applies to purchases while abroad as well as international transactions.
If you purchase inventory from overseas suppliers, the
might be a better option. It offers less cash back (
1.5
% on all purchases), but is one of the few cash-back business cards that does not charge a foreign transaction fee. As the name suggests, the card does require excellent credit to qualify (a FICO score of
720
or higher). And it does not offer an intro APR period.
And if you spend more time in airports and hotels than an office, a proper business travel card may deliver a more useful set of rewards and perks. With the
Earn 5X points on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked directly in the Rewards Center. Earn 4X points on travel, gas and EV charging stations* on the first $150,000 in combined annual spend (*excludes discount stores/supercenters and wholesale clubs). Earn 2X points on dining, takeout, restaurant delivery and cell service providers. Earn 1X points on all other eligible spend.
Like most travel cards, the
U.S. Bank Business Altitude™ Connect World Elite Mastercard®
does have an annual fee (
$0 intro for the first year, then $95
). But the welcome offer more than makes up for it:
Limited Time Offer: Earn 60,000 bonus points, worth $600 if you spend $6,000 on the Account Owner's card in the first 180 days from account opening.
💬 From our Nerds: Transferring Wells Fargo rewards
"One under-the-radar way to maximize the value of your business credit card rewards: Combining them with rewards earned on other cards you carry from that issuer (personal or business).
"Wells Fargo doesn’t advertise such options for the Signify Business Cash℠ Card. Based on chatter I’ve seen on Reddit and elsewhere, customers with personal cards from the bank have wondered if this is possible.
"According to a Wells Fargo spokesperson, you can indeed transfer those rewards to Wells Fargo-branded personal cards at a 1:1 ratio. You can also transfer points to select airline and hotel loyalty programs, though Wells Fargo’s list of transfer partners is thinner than other card issuers. Still, the potential for a higher redemption value can turn this excellent cash-back card into a sneakily solid option for travel, as well."
