Discover doesn't offer business credit cards to new users. The issuer previously offered the
Discover it® Business Card
, but you can no longer apply for this card. If you’re a fan of Discover’s products, though, you can choose from business credit cards with similar features.
Most of our Discover business credit card alternatives below are cash-back business credit cards. They also come with other perks Discover's card was known for, like no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees — plus some it lacked, like sign-up bonuses or 0% APR balance transfer periods. While none offers Discover's first-year rewards match, you may find a card that's an even better fit for your business.
Some of our selections for the best business credit cards can be applied for through NerdWallet, and some cannot. Below, you'll find application links for cards available from our partners, followed by the full list of our picks.

NerdWallet's editorial picks: Best alternatives to Discover business credit cards

Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card

Best for: Sign-up bonus
NerdWallet star rating: 5.0
The
Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card
earns a simple, flat cash-back rate on every purchase, with no limit on how much you can earn. The sign-up bonus is outstanding for a cash-back card, particularly one with no annual fee, and there's an intro APR period for purchases. Learn more and apply.

U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards World Elite Mastercard®

Best for: Long intro APR
NerdWallet star rating: 5.0
The
U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards World Elite Mastercard®
is a solid cash-back card for business owners.
Earn 3% cash back on eligible purchases at gas stations and EV charging stations (transactions of $200 or less)*, office supply stores, cell phone service providers and restaurants (*excludes discount stores/supercenters and wholesale clubs). Earn 1% cash back on all other eligible net purchases. Earn 5% cash back on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked directly in the Rewards Center.
Plus, the card offers a competitive welcome bonus and
0% intro APR on Purchases for 12 billing cycles, and then the ongoing APR of 18.24%-27.24% Variable APR
— all with a $
0
annual fee. Learn more and apply.

The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card

Best for: Up to 2% cash back + no annual fee
NerdWallet star rating: 5.0
The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card
cash-back offer has two parts:
Earn 2% cash back on all eligible purchases on up to $50,000 per calendar year, then 1%. Cash back earned is automatically credited to your statement. Terms Apply.
(See rates and fees). The cap on bonus rewards reduces its appeal to high-spending entrepreneurs, but those with lesser expenses would be hard-pressed to find a richer flat rewards rate on a card with a $
0
annual fee. Rewards are automatically credited to your statement each month. Learn more and apply.

Bank of America® Business Advantage Travel Rewards World Mastercard® credit card

Best for: No foreign transaction fees
NerdWallet star rating: 3.7
The
Bank of America® Business Advantage Travel Rewards World Mastercard® credit card
pays solid rewards on every purchase and gives you wide flexibility in redeeming your points for any travel purchase, without the restrictions of branded airline and hotel cards. Learn more and apply.

Ink Business Premier® Credit Card

Best for: Unlimited 2% cash back
NerdWallet star rating: 4.9
The
Ink Business Premier® Credit Card
card, Chase's newest business credit card, offers a solid standard cash-back rate of
2
% plus a significant sign-up bonus:
Earn $1,000 bonus cash back after you spend $10,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
Its $
195
annual fee is the highest on this list, but it may be worth it for big-spending business owners. The cash-back rate jumps to 2.5% on purchases of $5,000 or more. Learn more and apply.

Capital On Tap

Best for: Fair credit
NerdWallet star rating: 3.8
Capital on Tap says applicants with a FICO score of 670 or higher have the best chance of approval, but the card is available to business owners with fair credit (typically considered a score from 630 to 689). The
Capital on Tap Business Credit Card
issued by WebBank offers
1.5%
cash back on all purchases, no annual fee and the potential for a low APR. (But you'll need excellent credit to snag that low APR.) One important note: This card is not available to sole proprietors, which excludes most businesses. Learn more and apply.

Does Discover offer business credit cards?

No, Discover does not currently offer business credit cards. The issuer previously had such cards, including for the
Discover it® Business Card
, but is not accepting new applications at this time.
You’ll need to look to other issuers for a flat-rate cash back business credit card. Fortunately, there are plenty of options. American Express, Bank of America, Capital One, Chase and other credit card companies all have business credit cards that offer combinations of the perks Discover provided small-business owners.

Can you use a personal Discover credit card for your business?

As long as the card issuer allows it, you can use a personal credit card for your business. Check your cardholder agreement for acceptable uses.
If you’re a solopreneur who needs to consolidate business credit card debt, the
Discover it® Cash Back
may be worth a look. It offers a
0% intro APR for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers, and then the ongoing APR of 18.49%-27.49% Variable APR. *Rates as of December 12, 2024
. Intro periods on balance transfer business credit cards are rare, while personal cards are more likely to offer them.
Other than that, there are several important advantages business credit cards offer versus personal cards:
  • Business credit cards tend to have higher credit limits.
  • They may offer larger sign-up bonuses and extra cash back on categories related to business spending, like gas and office supplies.
  • They can help you build your business credit score.
  • You can often get free employee credit cards for your team to use on your behalf.
