Business bank account promotions are typically one-time cash bonuses you can receive when you open a new business checking account or savings account.
To access one of these cash bonuses, you’ll have to complete certain qualifying activities — such as maintaining a minimum account balance, depositing a minimum amount of new funds or performing specific types of transactions — usually within a number of days after opening your account.
Some banks will have easier requirements than others. You may, however, need to meet more difficult criteria to qualify for a higher-level cash bonus.
Because online banks usually have fewer fees overall compared with their brick-and-mortar counterparts, you’re more likely to see these bonus offers from traditional banks.
Here are our top business checking account promotions this month:
Chase business checking bonus: $300
Eligible accounts: Chase Business Complete Checking℠, Chase Performance Business Checking®, Chase Platinum Business Checking℠.
How to qualify: Open a new Chase business checking account and complete the following activities:
Deposit a total of $2,000 or more in new money into your account within 30 days of opening the account.
Maintain at least a $2,000 balance for 60 days after opening the account.
Complete five qualifying transactions within 90 days of opening the account. Qualifying transactions include debit card purchases, Chase QuickAccept℠ deposits, Chase QuickDeposit℠, ACH credits and wires (credits and debits).
Keep the account open for six months. If you close the account (or it’s closed by Chase) within six months, Chase will deduct the bonus amount at closing.
Who can qualify: To qualify for the Chase business checking promotion, you must be a new Chase business checking customer. This promotion isn't available to local, state, or federal government entities or agencies, not-for-profit organizations, political action committees, anyone with campaign accounts, anyone whose accounts have been closed within 90 days, or whose accounts closed with a negative balance within the past three years.
When you’ll receive the bonus: Once all of the requirements are completed, Chase will deposit the bonus into your account within 15 days.
How to open an account: Request an offer code on the Chase website and bring the email with you to a local branch to open an account. You can also apply online directly from the email with the offer code.
Location availability: Chase has locations in 38 states, plus Washington, D.C. It doesn't have branch locations in Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming.
Business banking highlights: Chase business checking is a great option for small-business owners looking for essential banking features from a brick-and-mortar institution. In particular, the Business Complete account offers unlimited electronic deposits, multiple ways to waive the $15 monthly fee and pay-as-you-go credit card processing with Chase QuickAccept℠.
