How to Contact Air Canada Customer Service
Many or all of the products on this page are from partners who compensate us when you click to or take an action on their website, but this does not influence our evaluations or ratings. Our opinions are our own.
While both travelers and airlines want air travel to go smoothly, from time to time, problems arise. Whether it be lost luggage, a question about your loyalty account or a canceled flight, you may find yourself in need of contacting Air Canada customer service, especially if you fly with the airline often.
Here's how to get in touch with a real person at Air Canada to get things straightened out.
How do I contact Air Canada customer service?
You can call the Air Canada customer service department or fill out an online form to do anything from asking about lost or damaged luggage to changing your reservation.
If you have a simple question about baggage allowances, booking cancellations or other frequently asked questions, a good place to start is the Air Canada Customer Support page on the airline’s website.
Fortunately, Air Canada customer service hours are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and toll-free for those calling from the U.S. and Canada.
How do I call Air Canada customer service?
The best place to start, especially for information about your flight or to change a reservation, is the Air Canada customer service phone number: 888-247-2262 for those in the U.S. and Canada.

Can you chat with Air Canada?
While there’s no chat function on the Air Canada website, you can fill out a request form online that will send the airline an email with your question or issue.
The airline also has social media accounts, which shouldn’t be used to share sensitive personal information or ask time-sensitive questions, but may be a good way to get in touch about less pressing questions.
Aeroplan account help
If you have questions or concerns about your Aeroplan loyalty account, there’s a separate phone number, which is valid for the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean: 800-361-5373.
Call if you want to check on the status of points, change or cancel an award booking, update your account, and more.

Does Air Canada give refunds for canceled flights?
If you need to cancel an Air Canada flight, whether you can expect a refund depends on the type of fare you purchased. But no matter the fare type, if you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you’ll receive a full refund.
On the other hand, if the airline delayed your flight by three hours or more — or canceled it outright — you can request a refund for any unused portions of your ticket.

How do I get a refund from Air Canada?
Assuming you booked through Air Canada or one of its partners, you can submit a refund request online after logging into your account and navigating to your bookings. You can also make a request by calling customer service.
If you booked through a third party, like a travel agency or online booking platform like Priceline or Booking.com, you’ll have to contact the company directly to request a refund.
How do I find lost luggage on Air Canada?
If you’ve arrived at your destination or back home but your luggage did not, you may need to get a hold of someone at the airline to help you locate and recover your bags.
U.S. and Canadian residents can start by calling 888-689-2247 or stop at the nearest Air Canada customer service desk inside the airport to make sure the airline is aware of the situation. Then, if your bags haven’t turned up within three days, fill out the delayed baggage form on the airline’s customer service page online.
You’ll need to accurately describe your missing items and share details from your boarding pass and bag tag number. Then the airline can do a more in-depth job of tracing your luggage.

Where do I offer feedback or send a complaint to Air Canada?
To let customer service at Air Canada know about an especially helpful flight attendant or a problem experienced while traveling, you can send the airline a message via an online form.
Select “Send us an email” on its customer support page, after which you will be taken to a form to fill out. You’ll be prompted to share your contact info, flight information and more, including your feedback or complaint.
