Military credit cards offer some of the lowest interest rates around, and are generally only available if you or a family member works for the department of defense. It's not uncommon to see military credit unions offer APRs below 10%, or to offer friendly terms like a longer grace period or greater flexibility if you're deployed overseas. If you or a family member serves in the military (or works for the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and the like), you may be eligible for quite a few military credit unions. Eligibility can be as broad as an affiliation with the DoD, or as specific as serving on a particular base. The USAA and Navy Federal Credit Union offer some of the lowest APRs out there, while Pentagon Federal Credit Union offers stellar rewards.
