Bank of America® offers four business credit cards designed to meet the different needs of small businesses.

Existing business checking customers will get the most value out of the Bank of America® Business Advantage cards, as they can earn additional rewards with the card if they qualify for the Preferred Rewards for Business program.

Unlike some other small-business credit cards, which accept good credit scores (690 to 719 FICO), Bank of America® business credit cards generally require excellent credit scores (720+) to qualify.

Below, you’ll find our selections for the best Bank of America® business credit cards, as well as top alternatives to consider.

Our pick for: Travel rewards

This is the business version of the issuer's excellent no-annual-fee travel card. The Bank of America® Business Advantage Travel Rewards World Mastercard® credit card pays solid rewards on every purchase and gives you wide flexibility in redeeming your points for any travel purchase, without the restrictions of branded airline and hotel cards. Read our review.

Our pick for: Cash back

The Bank of America® Business Advantage Customized Cash Rewards Mastercard® credit card gives entrepreneurs a little control over their credit card rewards by letting them choose which category earns the highest cash-back rate. Options include gas stations, office supplies, travel, computer services and more. There are also bonus rewards on dining and no annual fee. Read our review.

Our pick for: Airline miles

The Alaska Airlines Visa® Business credit card is well-suited for business owners who fly frequently on Alaska Airlines. You’ll receive ongoing rewards for spending with the airline, plus no foreign transaction fees. The card’s sign-up bonus, annual Companion Fare, free checked bag perk and other airline-specific discounts are also great travel benefits and help offset the already low annual fee — $50 for the company and $25 per card. Read our review.

Other business credit cards issued by Bank of America®

Bank of America® also offers the Platinum Plus® Mastercard® Business credit card, which has a competitive APR and a $0 annual fee. Like the other Bank of America® small-business credit cards, this card typically requires excellent credit to qualify; however, it does not earn any ongoing rewards.

If you have excellent credit, you’ll likely find alternatives that can offer greater benefits for your business.

Bank of America® business credit card benefits

In addition to the perks associated with each individual card, here are the benefits you’ll receive with all Bank of America® small-business credit cards:

  • Employee cards: Get cards for your employees and set individual spending limits.

  • Cash management tools: Download transactions into QuickBooks, make automatic payments and take advantage of other online services to manage your finances.

  • Chip cards: Insert your card or tap to pay where you see the contactless symbol.

  • Overdraft protection: Optional service to link your Bank of America® business checking account to prevent overdrafts, declined purchases or returned checks.

  • Paperless statement option: Opt for online statements instead of paper statements.

  • Online and mobile banking: Manage your account 24/7, no matter where you are.

  • Travel and emergency services: Access to a minimum of $100,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, emergency ticket replacement and lost-luggage assistance associated with your card.

Alternatives to Bank of America® business credit cards

If you’re not an existing Bank of America® business customer or want to consider a small-business credit card with a longer 0% introductory APR or more flexible rewards, either of these alternatives could be a good fit.

Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card

Best for: Intro APR and simple cash back

If you’re looking for a longer intro APR period than what the Bank of America® business credit cards offer, consider the Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card. This card offers a 0% intro APR on Purchases for 12 months, and then the ongoing APR of 13.24% - 19.24% Variable APR.

This card is also a great option if you don’t spend in any of the top-earning categories of the Bank of America® Business Advantage Customized Cash Rewards Mastercard® credit card, as you can earn an unlimited 1.5% cash back on every purchase made for your business — plus, a competitive sign-up bonus.

Capital One Spark Miles for Business

Best for: Flexible travel rewards

With the Capital One Spark Miles for Business you earn an unlimited 2x miles per dollar on every purchase with no blackouts or seat restrictions on travel. You can redeem your miles for flights, hotels and vacation packages, as well as transfer miles to a variety of Capital One’s travel partners.

This card also has a great sign-up bonus, includes a Global Entry or TSA Precheck credit and allows you to get free cards for your employees (which also earn an unlimited 2x miles per dollar).

Although the Capital One Spark Miles for Business has an annual fee ($0 intro for the first year, then $95), its simple rewards structure and flexible redemption might be a better travel option for you than the Bank of America® Business Advantage Travel Rewards World Mastercard® credit card or Alaska Airlines Visa® Business credit card.
