New parents and hermits alike can spend quite a bit on at-home entertainment. But it can be hard for homebodies to rack up rewards. Most credit cards tend to offer extra rewards for activities in the “outside world” like travel and grocery shopping. Never fear, reclusive reader: Here are a pair of the best credit cards for entertainment at home. Enjoy your rewards!

Citi Premier Card

The Citi Premier Card offers rewards of 3 ThankYou points for each $1 spent on dining and entertainment, 2 ThankYou points for each $1 spent on airfare and hotels, and 1 ThankYou point for everything else. It also includes an awesome signup bonus: Earn 60,000 bonus ThankYou® Points after you spend $4,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. (This offer is no longer valid on our site)ThankYou points can be redeemed for a variety of different rewards and don’t expire.

The Citi Premier Card, like all consumer and college-student CitiCards, is chip-enabled. There’s an annual fee of $95, and no foreign transaction fees. If you’d prefer a card without an annual fee, the Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card is a good option.

Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card

The Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card offers 2 ThankYou points for each $1 spent on dining and entertainment and 1 ThankYou point on every $1 spent elsewhere. Like the Citi Premier Card, its points don’t expire and can be redeemed for multiple different rewards.

The Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card has an annual fee of $0, but foreign transaction fees of 3%. The card also offers 0% on Purchases and Balance Transfers for 15 months, and then the ongoing APR of 15.49% - 25.49% Variable APR.

What counts as entertainment spending?

Entertainment-category merchants include music and video rental stores for all of your listening and movie-watching needs. If you get hungry, you can take advantage of rewards on your food delivery as well. If you ever decide to venture out and join the rest of society, you’ll get rewarded for spending at restaurants, live performances, movie theaters, amusement parks, tourist attractions and sporting events.

Nerd note: Merchants that accept Visa and MasterCard are assigned a merchant code based on their goods or services sold. When you buy from merchants with a code categorized as entertainment or dining, you will receive the extra ThankYou points rewards. Citi doesn’t assign these codes, so it will only give you extra rewards for the merchants with entertainment and dining codes (and airfare and hotel codes for the Citi Premier Card).

The takeaway: Homebodies everywhere will enjoy the Citi Premier Card or Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card for their additional rewards on entertainment and dining. Remember: Some merchants may be categorized differently than you might expect, but overall, you should see extra points on dining and entertainment spending with both cards. So curl up on the couch with a movie rental and order Thai delivery. You’re in for the night!
