Chase keeps doubling down on mobile wallets, and that’s a good thing for Apple Pay users.

The issuer’s latest mobile wallet-related promotion: a bonus of 1,000 Ultimate Rewards® points if you use an eligible Chase credit card like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® five times with Apple Pay between April 1 and April 30, 2018.

When redeemed for cash, Ultimate Rewards® points are worth a penny each, so that’s at least an extra $10 in your pocket. But those points could be worth up to 1.5 cents apiece, depending on which card you have, if used to book travel through the Ultimate Rewards® portal. And if you transfer the points to an eligible airline or hotel loyalty program, you could squeeze even more value out of them.

This promotion comes on the heels of multiple mobile wallet-themed offers from Chase. In addition to smaller limited-time offers, the issuer included Apple Pay, Chase Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay among the 5% bonus categories for the Chase Freedom® credit card for the first quarter of 2018. And Chase Pay will remain one of the card’s bonus categories for Q2 2018.
