The Citi Premier Card just made a money move that could pique your interest.

Starting Aug. 1, 2018, new cardholders are eligible for the following sign-up bonus: Earn 60,000 bonus ThankYou® Points after you spend $4,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of account opening (This offer is no longer available on our site)

As Citi notes, 60,000 points are redeemable for $750 in airfare on any airline, anytime with no blackout dates when booked through the ThankYou® Travel Center, or $600 in gift cards when redeemed at

The new introductory bonus offer is 10,000 points higher than the previous offer and, if used to book airfare, is one of the highest-value sign-up bonuses on a credit card currently available.

What can you do with $750 in airfare? As of Aug. 1, 2018, the following deals were available:

  • Go leaf-peeping in New England in late October on a round-trip economy flight for two from San Francisco to Boston.
  • Spend Christmas week thawing out on the beach in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with a round-trip economy ticket from Chicago.
  • Drive around Iceland’s famous Ring Road in March after taking a round-trip economy flight for two from New York City to Reykjavik.

If you’ve opened a Citi Premier Card, a Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card or a Citi Prestige® Card card within the past 24 months, you won’t be eligible for this offer.
