The HSBC Gold Mastercard® credit card has reclaimed a spot among cards offering the longest 0% introductory APR periods.

The card now offers a 0% Introductory APR on credit card purchases and balance transfers for the first 18 months from account opening, then a variable APR of 12.49% - 20.49% will apply.

That 18-month window is what the card was offering before a decrease to 15 months in April 2019.

Because the new intro APR applies to both purchases and balance transfers, it makes the card an excellent option for people who are looking to finance a large purchase upfront or move their high-interest debt to a card with a lower rate.

The card’s annual fee is $0, and it charges no foreign transaction fees. It does, however, charge a balance transfer fee of 4% or $10, whichever is higher. It does not earn rewards.
