If your new year’s resolution is to travel, Marriott and Starwood Preferred Guest loyalty program promotions might help you reach more destinations in 2018. Both programs currently offer members the chance to earn more points on winter and spring getaways.

Membership is free for both loyalty programs. Once a member, you can register through March 31, 2018, to earn extra points for stays from Jan. 16 to April 15, 2018.

The promotions include:

  • Marriott Rewards MegaBonus. Earn 2,000 bonus points at participating properties beginning with the second stay, and an additional 1,000 points for stays on Friday or Saturday nights (or for what’s usually considered a weekend in some places abroad). You can earn up to 50,000 points.
  • Starwood Preferred Guest Great Weeks, Grand Weekends. Earn double Starpoints at participating properties for each stay, beginning with the second stay, and an additional 500 bonus Starpoints for Friday or Saturday night stays (or for what’s usually considered a weekend in some places abroad). There isn’t a cap on the number of points members can earn with this promotion.

Terms and conditions vary for each offer. Points redeem for free hotel nights, flights, exclusive experiences and more.

If you have one of the following credit cards, you can collect even more points:

With these limited-time offers, you may score points for your next adventure and squeeze more travel out of the new year.
