Chase has a bonus cash-back offer just in time for spring break trips. Chase Freedom® and Chase Freedom Unlimited® cardholders can earn 10% cash back on up to $2,500 in spending on hotels and car rentals when they book through Chase Ultimate Rewards during March 2017. That could amount to $250 in bonus cash back.

If this is too short notice for a spring getaway, don’t fret: You can book during March but travel later.

Technically, this offer is for 9% bonus cash back on the Chase Freedom® card, but when you add the 1% you always earn on spending with this card, the payout is 10%. Likewise, when you use the Chase Freedom Unlimited® card, you usually earn 1.5% cash back on purchases, so this offer adds 8.5%.

If you’ve been considering one of these cards, now might be a good time to apply.

The Chase Freedom Unlimited® has a new-cardholder offer: Double Cash Back: Earn 3% cash back on all purchases in your first year up to $20,000 spent. After that earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases. Its annual fee is $0.

Chase Freedom® has the same sign-up bonus: Earn a $150 Bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening. The annual fee is $0. With Chase Freedom®, you also earn 5% cash back in categories that change each quarter, on up to $1,500 in spending per quarter. You must opt in to the categories each quarter. See the current bonus categories here.
