Synchrony Bank Review
At NerdWallet, we strive to help you make financial decisions with confidence. To do this, many or all of the products featured here are from our partners. However, this doesn’t influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own.

Synchrony Bank operates online, but customers are never far removed from their cash. The bank participates in networks that give customers access to thousands of ATMs in the U.S. and abroad.

It’s worth noting that Synchrony offers only savings accounts — there are no checking options. But that could be a plus if your goal is to build up savings.

If in-person banking isn’t that important to you but easy access to cash is, Synchrony Bank’s network of ATMs is hard to beat. So is the bank’s transfer system, which allows customers to move money at no charge to their accounts at other financial institutions.
