To help you keep track of your fitness activity as you work your way to a healthier lifestyle, you will want to buy a fitness tracker, but which tracker is right for your lifestyle? There are more than a few on the market, including the Fitbit Flex, which you can get at a discount with a coupon code or two, but there is also the Amiigo.  Let’s compare the two.

Tracking It

Both the Fitbit Flex and the Amiigo have the ability to help you to reach your fitness goals by tracking the steps you take each day when engaging in physical activity, but one tracker takes tracking to the next level.  The Amiigo can recognize over 100 physical activities, from cycling to swimming, golfing, pushups and squats. It can also track skin temperature, calories burned, blood oxygen levels and your heart rate, as well as count steps taken. The Fitbit Flex by comparison is not able to keep track of as much. So, if you want to know every detail related to your exercise routine, you may want to opt for the Amiigo.

Rewarding the User

The Fitbit Flex and the Amiigo will cheer you on as you attain your goals, from walking a certain distance in a week to shedding pounds. The Fitbit Flex even lights up and vibrates in celebration each time you reach one of your goals, but the Amiigo, which was featured on takes cheerleading to the next level by offering users, through partnerships, discounts select stores when a goal is reached. If you are the type of person who likes the idea of receiving discounts to keep you motivated, you may want to buy an Amiigo.

Battery Life

While both the Fitbit Flex and the Amiigo come equipped with a lithium polymer battery, one tracker will track longer before a recharge is needed. That tracker is the Fitbit Flex, which has a battery that will last you up to five days before needing to be charged. The Amiigo’s battery will only last you three days. If you want to keep your exercise routine going without having to recharge often, you will want to buy the Fitbit Flex.

Currently the Amiigo is only available in one color — charcoal, while the Fitbit Flex is made to be interchangeable so you can switch the color of your wristband depending on your mood. Fitbit comes in colors, including red, black, slate, orange, teal and pink. So, if you like color, you will absolutely want to choose the Fitbit Flex over the Amiigo.

Get it Fast

If you want to start tracking your fitness activity as of yesterday, you are going to want to hold off buying an Amiigo since you are going to have to pre-order the fitness band with an expected delivery date a month after ordering. Meanwhile, the Fitbit Flex can be purchased online, as well as at a variety of stores, including Best Buy, Target, and Walmart.

If you not looking to spend a lot of money on your fitness tracker, you will want to buy a Fitbit Flex, which retails for about $100, but is available for as low as $89.95 at Brookstone. The Amiigo will run you about $179.
