One of the most popular aspects of the Chase Ultimate Rewards® program is that users can often get more value from their points by transferring them on a 1-to-1 basis to airline and hotel partners. And this week, that list of partners is getting longer.
Chase has announced that Ultimate Rewards® can now be transferred directly to the Iberia Plus loyalty program from Iberia Airlines and the AerClub loyalty program from Aer Lingus, bringing the total number of Ultimate Rewards® transfer partners to 13. Full list below.
Points will be transferred as Avios, the reward currency used by Aer Lingus and Iberia Airlines, as well as by British Airways, which remains an Ultimate Rewards® transfer partner.

“We know our cardmembers value flexibility and choice when it comes to their rewards, so together with Avios, Aer Lingus and Iberia, we are providing more options to help our shared customers make the most of their credit cards,” Lorraine Chow Hansen, head of Ultimate Rewards® and loyalty solutions at Chase, said in a press release.
Cardholders can earn Chase Ultimate Rewards® points on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, the Chase Freedom®, Chase Freedom Flex® and Chase Freedom Unlimited®, the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card and the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card.
Ultimate Rewards® points are typically worth 1 cent each. But when you book travel through the Ultimate Rewards® portal, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card offer a boost — each point is worth 1.25 cents. For its $550 annual fee, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® gives you an even bigger boost of 1.5 cents per point when you redeem for travel through the Ultimate Rewards® portal.
