The name Time Life comes from the Time Inc. company’s magazines Time and Life. In 1966, Time Life began offering music collections in addition to their book offerings. In the early 1980s, in order to broaden their audience, Time Life began offering country music albums. In 1986, Time Life expanded their collection even more by introducing rock music.
