Many or all of the products featured here are from our partners who compensate us. This may influence which products we write about and where and how the product appears on a page. However, this does not influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own. Here is a list of our partners and here's how we make money.

Used Car Search Pro by iSeeCars has a user-friendly, minimalist interface and a search function with dozens of filters not often seen in car-buying apps. Filters include headroom and legroom, for example, and truck-specific options for towing capacity, bed length and cab size.

Additionally, the app offers several tools that show you whether you’re getting a good deal. One of the most useful tools is the app’s price analysis scatterplot, which shows users how a car’s list price compares to the list price for similar cars across the nation. Another great feature tells users how long a car has been on the market, and how long similar vehicles usually take to sell.

The search filters also include a free-text keyword field — a useful feature that has disappeared from many other car-buying apps.

This app is best for: individuals who need a car with specific capabilities or features.

What is Used Car Search Pro?

Used Car Search Pro is a mobile car-buying app. It's the companion app to iSeeCars.com, an online used-car marketplace.

The app’s helpful analysis tools and precise filters are a reflection of iSeeCars.com’s founding team. The company was co-founded by Vineet Manohar, who worked as an engineer at TripAdvisor, one of the largest online marketplaces for travel bookings. The other co-founder, Phong Ly, was an executive at the German computing giant SAP.

Marketplace car-buying apps like Used Car Search Pro aggregate new- and used-car listings from big online retailers such as CarMax and Carvana, from local dealerships and often from individual sellers. The best apps offer a wide variety of listings, thoughtful and intuitive filters to zero in on your car, price comparisons, vehicle history reports and other information about the car’s past.

Although Used Car Search Pro is lacking in terms of vehicle reviews and loan calculators, the app offers some of the most helpful, specific search filters of the car-buying apps that NerdWallet reviewed, and its price analysis features empower the user with valuable information that could help in negotiations.

Listing a car on Used Car Search Pro: It’s free to list your car for sale on Used Car Search Pro, but you’ll need to do it on the app’s web-based counterpart, iSeeCars.com. Analytics tell potential sellers how much they should list their car for, based on how quickly they want to sell it.

Buying a car on Used Car Search Pro: Since Used Car Search Pro aggregates listings from individual sellers and dealerships, you can’t buy a car directly through the app. If you want to buy a car from a dealership, the app allows you to send a message to the dealership.
