The Credit Builder Secured Visa® Credit Card, issued by Armed Forces Bank, has an annual fee of $0 and, like most secured cards, it doesn't earn rewards — but it does offer some unique features that can be hard to find.
The card caters to those who are enlisted in or retired from military service, but civilians are also welcome to apply. You have to deposit at least $300 into an Armed Forces Bank Credit Builder Savings account in order to get it, but you can increase your credit limit by adding funds to that account.
Your security deposit will earn interest, and if you make your monthly payments on time and in full, Armed Forces Bank will periodically review your account to see whether you qualify for an unsecured card.
