Banking, Checking Accounts, Savings Accounts
At NerdWallet, we adhere to strict standards of editorial integrity to help you make decisions with confidence. Some of the products we feature are from our partners. Here’s how we make money.

Some banks offer cash bonuses when you open a new checking or savings account. To qualify, you will most likely have to set up direct deposit with the bank, and you’ll probably have to keep the account open for at least a few months. Before signing up for a checking or savings account bonus, familiarize yourself with the bank’s fees, including monthly service charges, and how to avoid them.
