Maximizing your hotel points earnings means more than just booking stays and using a hotel credit card. You’ll also want to keep an eye out for opportunities to earn bonus points through each hotel loyalty program’s limited-time promotions. Some of them are seasonal, and some apply only to certain destinations or hotels.

Be sure to register for the promotions that require it since many won't automatically deposit points into your account if you’re not signed up before your stay.

Earn up to 20,000 bonus points on stays

Best Western Rewards members can earn 10,000 bonus points when they stay three nights from now through Sept. 2, 2024, at properties in the United States, Canada or Caribbean Islands. Nights don't need to be consecutive and the bonus can be earned twice during the promotion period for a maximum of 20,000 points.

Members who opt in to email communications will get the chance to earn double or triple points on stays beyond Sept. 2, 2024, after earning the bonus max, sweetening the deal even more.

Earn 1,500 bonus points through Lyft

Hilton Honors members who link their Hilton and Lyft accounts and take five eligible rides by Sept. 3, 2024, will earn 1,500 bonus points. This is in addition to the 3 points per $1 spent on Lyft rides that Hilton Honors members earn when Hilton is selected as their preferred travel partner in the Lyft app.

Hilton Honors members staying at Hilton properties will earn double the points when booking on this page. You can also book by phone and request "2x points."

Milestone Bonuses

Hilton Honors members who have stayed at least 40 nights or more in one calendar year can earn a huge chunk of bonus points. Members will receive 10,000 bonus points after their 40th night, and another 10,000 bonus points at every tenth night after that. At 60 nights, members net an additional 30,000 bonus points on top of the 10,000 Milestone Bonus points.

Earn double at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House Hotels

World of Hyatt members who register by Sept. 15, 2024, and complete stays at Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotels between July 9, 2024, and Oct. 15, 2024, will earn 2x points on every dollar spent.

500 bonus points at new World of Hyatt hotels

Check out World of Hyatt's list of new properties for a chance to get 500 easy bonus points if you stay during the promotional period, which varies by property.

The promotional period is usually at least three months long — so you have time to take advantage of these new accommodations. This list is updated frequently, so can check often for new offers.

Get Platinum perks on award stays at Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel in Miami

Get 5,000 bonus points on transfers from Bilt Rewards

In honor of Bilt Rewards' new partnership with Marriott, Bilt members can get 5,000 additional Marriott Bonvoy points for every 20,000 points transferred in a single transaction. That's a 25% transfer bonus. Bilt members also get a one-time bonus of 100 Bilt points when they link their Bilt and Marriott accounts in the Bilt app.

3,000 bonus points when you book 2+ nights on the mobile app

Avis has partnerships with both Budget and Avis to offer loyalty program members 1,000 Choice Privileges bonus points when they rent a car through the end of the year.
